Well, lay them on me. I can't stand you a-holes who run over my grens with your M-10s or run my rangers over with your stug! I try my best to run over troops but rarely get kills, it seems to usually be luck. I must learn the secret of this!

Put a crab flail on a sherman. Put three shermans with the flail in a line. Go forward. Squish the enemy!
i don't think you can run over units.

Don't click directly on units. Click in their path then once your among the squad, turn, squish. GG. Also get good at cramming them against a wall then running them over.

Click just where the units are going and stop. They will scatter. Do not move. They will now all run back to directly in front of your tank.
Sometimes they'll run right up to the tank and die. Other times you have to move the tank forward a little and repeat.

To prevent this from happening to your inf simply hit the hault button when the tank gets close. And after it runs by move foward a bit and hault again when it gets near. Tedious, but your men won't get squished.*
*NOTE Suppressed units may still be ran over, mine flail>hault, if you are pinned against a wall/building/end of map you will get squished.

As for if you want to keep your squads alive, DON'T click anywhere when someone is trying to run over your stuff. Telling them to move somewhere will often just put them in their treds faster. Just let the AI handle itself. Just keep ur finger on the retreat button incase u get down to one man. If someone is trying to run you over, you may be better off getting in a building if you can get help up pretty soon, or else you may just get shot out of it and ran over as soon as u step outside.

I still suggest just not trying to run over enemy troops. I tried that last game and my tank got stuck (again, stupid need to micro the stupid shermans with stupid flails) and got ambushed by a bajizilion stormies and grenadiers and a bajilion AT guns and panzershreks.

Don't bother using Crab Flail on suppressed troops. Running them over would be more effective. Crab Flail is mainly good for killing infantry that aren't suppressed.

Yeah, M10s never get stuck in crowds of infantry, they eat infantry for breakfast. But yes, try to corner infantry. I took out one of Bonte's vet 3 Storm schreck squads doing that. All four of the bastards in the squad got ran over. 'Twas vicious.

If there's a squad with 1 panzershrek keep going after the panzershrek guy, he'll never be able to fire.

I think these kind of tactics shouldn't be encouraged, it's exploiting unintended AI behaviour/stupidity. Running over pinned squads, sure, but this? Cmon, get some skill and kill your enemies the proper way.

To be fair, if the croc had to sit there and 'play fair' I think it would have been substantially buffed in both damage and armor a long time ago. 2 shrek squads could probably take it (where as now its 3+ or bust)
M10 with its no anti infantry capabilities would be also probably be buffed.
But lets be 'realistic.' You see a squad of infantry with no AT. Are you gonna stand there shooting your bee-bee-gun pellets (the in tank MGs, lol, spatoon or whatever) or are you gonna say RUN THEM DOWN. Correct answer is obvioous.
While I think running people over is incredably aggrivating and sorta lame, your men do avoid it enough that they aren't just running you over to pieces. I'm sure historically many tanks tried to run over lone squads of infantry.

Running over infantry with tanks wasn't common at all, think about it, if a tank comes at you, you'll just fucking stand there? How much effort would it truly be to roll aside, jump aside or even to hop on top of the tank. Tanks didn't just drive into hordes of infantry.

There are situations where it works and many situations where its a waste of time.
Imo; Only stugs and maybe m10s have something from it.
Oh and unk0wn;
I am sure it happend. Sadistic tank commanders and wounded or shocked enemys.

Unless you can provide me with a solid historical base I refuse to believe that it was 'common'.

with a crab flail, drive right into the squad of inf so they break apart then they will usually reform right in front of your tank, now is the time to tun on the mine flail.
