Lately i have been playing a lot of game with players who base their game only in arti.
Tier 4 arti and there it is. They call it vet killer, i call it bullshit.

I have been blitzkrieg for the last 100 games, and my doctrine dont have any reliable counter. The nebelwerfer isnt worth even the effort.
I have been thrown at with everything, and everytime they did i just wish i could retaliate in some way. But theres no way. Only the sneaking around, or the fast attack, the feeling you get youre in a city under siege.
Things get worse when youre 2 blitz, cause then youre really helpless.
I was suggested to change doctrine, but i dont want too.
This is not fair, and it is not fun, and its important enought to make a post about it instead of changing doctrine.

T4 artillery is really bad, it comes as such effectiveness that it wins games. It wins games if your units are thrown constant off map arti, again and again. And theres no strategy in it, theres no skill.

I know another guy who changed his doctrine because of the arti he was against, so now hes doing the same, only with defensive.

I was having two thing in mind for making this post.
First speak about the t4 arti trend thas been going on and the lack of blitzkrieg counter.
But as 2.0 is been working i have to raise again the issue of artillery.
What will happen when brits come with their creeping barages, panzer elites with the hummels and off maps.

I think there should be a limit in artillery for both sides and especially t4 artillery. I had games against many howis, callis, off maps, zillions of strafing and bombing runs, and the annoying recon that reveals everything and it comes as such a high number, and i fed up.
But even tho i think axis arti doesnt compaire to allies, its spamage has the same effect.


Maybe an idea would be if one wants to go for arti spam, he should face the concequences of low munition.
Anyway this is my point of view, the point of a blitz player who refuses to spam arti.

Last I heard (and pushed through) in 2.0 doctrine balance will be as it is supposed to again. Offizier, Walking Stuka, Repair Bunker and Triage Center will be available for all doctrines, like in vCoH.

The current very subjective deal of limiting these units/buildings to certain doctrines is messed up, like not giving defense repair bunkers with the reason that they dont have heavy tanks (although it is supposed to be the bunker doctrine). Or making artillery and emplacements hard to counter by Blitz, by just taking the counter-units away. It should be solved.

The artillery is hard to deal with, but without it the americans would be up shits creek in a lot of situations, its what can over balance them, but also at the same time, keep them up to speed, sadly.

But things like t4 artillery are right online with even blitzkriegs t4 of doom CONVICTION which has NO recycle timer, and eats the shit out of anything its up against.

You paint a nice picture but you forget the OP'ness that the axis themselves have as well.

Blitzkrieg (ability) is made for stuff like this.  Ironically, many blitz players seem to think the ability is useless.

Its the artillery issue in general i question.
And yeah commandernewbie, the blitz ability is great. Too bad you have only 2. And against arti spam thats not really helpful.

Im taking this oportunity to discuss these things because for 2.0 all doctrines will be reworked. Im not talking about changes in the current balance. So you dont have to defend the current doctrines.
You dont have to defend arti spam doctrines and the lack of arti choices in others. This is not the status quo, this is the past.
Why should there be a doctrine with no artillery ? Answer me that.
Blitzkrieg is the doctrine that has no effective arti whatsoever.

I would take luftwaffe t4 arti spammage anytime.
How'd you feel if the axis had recon runs and bombing runs ?

When its a tier 4, yes.

And the artilerry is fine. Dont want to be artied? Then dont let your forces sit in one spot, keep them constantly moving and artillery will be usless against you.

Dont forget, if we got artillery T4, that means that our companies are not as strong as your.

yes a giant yellow tank is the best for slipping past enemy lines and killing allies arty lol but if your blitzkreg stormtroopers are the solution to anything and your skill at moving them past enemy units i think ever thing is fine as it is but the only thing that really matters is the players skills yes doctrine abilites are helpful but its how you use them that matters the most so instead of making post that say how overpowered something is use your defeats to learn how to beat that unit with the lowest amount of casulties and make your company to counter these things like mine its full of grens storms with shrecks and Lmgs perfect to counter just about anything but this is my opinion.

That's precisely what blitz is for.  Though, it works better with StuGs rather than StuHs if you're blitzing arty (StuH + Calliope = fail)



Maybe blitz isn't the doctrine for you, Schultz Smiley

Im a calliope user, althoguh i have never lost my calli, i came very close to it, once by a ninja pak and a storm shre squad, once by a stug, both were blitz players. So dont say that blitz has no counter to artillery. And the offmap artillery is easy to avoid, even if it is a T4, you might lose some men, but that about it if you have fast reflexes.
