Changed this from edit to new post.

Btw, a question:
Isn't it a bad idea to start the first roleplay on this site with a battle like this, where german elite troops fight against a far greater force of mostly unexperienced soldiers with the advantage of knowing the territory and being on the defensive?
The Fallschirmjägers have an extremely bad start with high drift and no weapons, and are outnumbered, but when the war goes on, they will become stronger, increasing the weight of axisplayers.
Maybe some relatively equal forces would be better for start.
(Although I like the scenario, it's fresh, relatively unused by games and storys, and it'S in the early stage of the war, with equal recources and weapons on both sides).

Hmm...would it to much to ask to be a spotter or having a another pilot is out of the question?

You can take a alternative pilot role from hostage to shot down, to transport plane flyer.

GammaCommander, Yes there will be most likly be 1 thread, but there coud also be 2, one for the Axis and one for the Greece and Axis. This is dicuss able if you have arguments for a other layout.

Flacon, thank you for your help.

Bard;

Sure, first the commanders (and players) tell me there position on the battlefield, (aa enplacement and tank for british, drop zone for axis, first strike of the pilot). I will then explain the battlefield situation for each side and in some cases for single players.

They will then play there Character. Example;

Me:  Jack brown spots a axis paratrooper that has landed above him on a house.
You:  I turn to my squad and yell; "ENEMY!" and fire my weapon at his troso.
Me; Blabla

Just longer and with more people, i will paint your pos and the enemys on the map to give you a graphical image, also there will be more writting in the thread itself. If you declear a action do it detailed; I quicky take a shoot at the target from my lee enfield, while moveing into cover behind a crate, readying my frag nade, while telling my fellow soldiers; "blabla!"
If you want to say something out of character say; /OCC lol...

Its basicly D&D, the turns are around 1 min, my rulebook is Sun-tzu´s ; The Art of War

We will see how it works out, i am open for improvement.

I am planing on starting in 2 days. 8. Mai.

British need a squad leader.

Character: Gerhard Boese
Age: 21
Rank: Obergefreiter
Awards: none
Unit:  4.Kompanie, 1. Zug
Weapons: MP40 submachinegun with 5 spare clips,
P08 (4 Reloads), Gravity Knife
Equipment: Uniform,camo smock, basic medic supplies, Nb.39 Nebelgranate, Model 39 Eihandgranate, Model 24 Stielhandgranate, assault rations
In container:Model 39 Eihandgranate, Nb.39 Nebelgranate, loaded Gewehr 41, small bag of fuses, oil, wire, 1kg explosives, radio, binoculars
Skills:
  • Trained at stealth and camouflage,
  • explosives specialist,
  • radio training

Traits:
-Pyromaniac, loves to blow things, fabricate booby traps and flame grenades.
-Focused, might lay under a hegde for hours without moving, waiting for his prey
-Headstrong, if he doesn't like something he grows extremely impatient, and may do errors, resulting in unwanted consequences and reduced combat efficency
-Swinging mood, getting aggresive or depressive from time to time;
  may have hazardous results in combination with explosives.
-Perfectionist, will not stop if he finds something unfinished,

Background:
Gerhard Boese grew up in Nuernberg in a middle class family.
He volunteered for the Luftwaffe in 1938 and was trained as a scout as his natural talent for cloaking and his interest in explosives made him viable for that task.
With his natural interest in electronics he also attended a course as radio operator and was to be recommended for officer school, but his swinging mood and wide political views have prevented him from rising through the ranks.
For hurting a commanding officer with an explosive in training he was degraded and put into another unit, earning disrespect along his companions.
He saw no combat action until his first deployment in greek, where his unit supported the takeover of the bridge over the Istmus of Corinth.

[Sidenote: I would really like to drop in the afternoon, as theres little chance of survive in the morning drops.]

How can you have a No. 43 Stielhandgranate if it's only 1941?

Hw does that work;
-Focused, might lay under a hegde for hours without moving, waiting for his prey
-Impatient, if he isn't interested in something he grows extremely impatient, sometimes leading to unwanted consequences.

That did seem like a contradiction Tongue

Thats to be taken with 'swinging mood', and it's about interested, resulting in Gerhard not being able to do things he doesn't see sense in, believe me, thats taken from reallife;

Maybe I'll change it a little.
Edited traits and equipment, I guess my guy is a little overequipped now Cheesy we'll see. Wink

Good, i think we are all set in teams now. As soon as the british choose there SQUAD leader and decide where to place the 20mm and the matilda, as well as themself we can get going.

Example;

Give your soldiers numbers (British) and Letters (axis) I will indicate them on the map like that.
Axis (apex) need to tell me where there planed dropzone woud be and tell your soldiers waht to do first (reasamble, attack b? attack a?)

I love how people are trying to ruin this thread, the "dear community" moderator not doing anything but participating in the derailment. I have nothing against the occasional bullshit from time to time (not even when its not funny anymore after the fourth time), but I got my posts deleted for less.
