Axis setup so far (still recruiting):
3./LL-Sturm-Rgt., 4. Kompanie, 1. Zug:
- Leutnant Gabriel Ritter (Apex) [Fallschirmjäger - Platoon Leader]
- Feldwebel Klaus Hoffmann (Warbirds) [Fallschirmjäger - Sniper]
- Obergefreiter Gerhard Böse (Unlimited) [Fallschirmjäger - Radio]
- Gefreiter Rambert Busch (OldKlash) [Fallschirmjäger - Medic]
- Schütze Hans Deinhardt (CommanderHolt) [Fallschirmjäger - Machine gunner]
- Schütze Wolfgang Schütze (DonkeyRadar) [Fallschirmjäger - Pioneer]
VIII. Fliegerkorps, 4./St.G.2 (Lead aircraft, 6. Kette):
- Lt. Heinrich Müller (CommanderNewbie) [Pilot]
I suggest recruiting a few more people so that we have a good amount of them online at the same time. About ten per team would be good, then we can even operate with two squads (reminds me of project reality). Axis still need a second Pioneer for the AT-Gun and a couple of Riflemen.

True. Of course we could also start like this. Your rpg, your call.

We can play 2-3 days ( start) and then send a second wave, where new players may join, up to 10 or 11 per team. Also, just have 'NPCs' man the AT Gun, with only player overwatching it.
Think of it, the more players making decisions, the less you have to do to make it feel good.
AND: are there any eastasians in this rpg? (this is a matter of time, no offense)
(PS:Funny we have so many Schützen in the squad, Fallschirmjägers were the german elite, at the end of the war you found several officers in the old squads, but yeah, thats after they got promoted for crete).

NPC's sound like a good idea. We could command them what to do and what actually happens to them would be decided by the game master. This way there can also be some casualties without excluding people right at the beginning. Are the axis landing per glider or per parachute? Since we already have a pilot, he could do the job. Or do we get strafing run support?
(PS: That's not how it works. No matter how elite, you dont have 5 sergeants or whatever in one squad. They get distributed. And we only have 2 Schützen, not enough actually, need more.)

So is DonkeyRadar in charge of the Recoiless Rifle now?
Anyways why am I a Schutzen, wasn't I a Grefreiter? (Anyways changing my rank...) I wonder if I should load up my guy with more ammo before he drops....
Edit: @UnLimiTeD, Going to battle w/ an empty G41 and an MP40?

Well, If you imagine bashing the enemy with a tiny Mp40 I though I needed something heavier.
No, joke;
I already though about it, just forgot to change.

lol, you might as well get a Kar98, because the G41 has no bayonet attachment.
Edit: Also I think that the clips used for the G41 are both a blessing and a curse. I think that the G41 used the same clips as the Kar98, so you could pick up the Kar98 ammo from dead bodies. The problem was that it uses 2 clips like the Lee-Enfield to be fully loaded with 10 rounds. So I don't think the initial 3 Clips will last you very long.

I always hit quote instead of modify -.-
shits, it's the wrong account, I couldn't hit modify, it wasnt there ! damn!
I wanted a G41 because everyone has a kar98k, historically, even most paratroopers with an mp40 have kar98k, so there will be quite many of them lying around if we have npcs.
Generaly, the G41 is far superiour to the K98k, but I will have to role a dice on every reload for that 20% of jamming it in the process.
I actually thought of making my character proficient in melee, but I saved that for later RPs

Answered some questions:
Quote
Character - Mickey Aspephos
Age - 22 years old
Rank - Leading Aircraftsman (In British Army terms this was between a Corporal and Sergeant.)
Company - 22 Greek Fighter Group
Weapons/Equipment - Standard issue flight suit, Webley MkVI Revolver w/ 18 shots, two flares, three days worth of rations, map of the island, compass
Skills - Able to speak English and Greek, excellent spotter, good at navigation.
Bio - Mickey Aspephos was born to an immigrated Greek family in the US. When war broke out, he hopped aboard a train to Canada and joined the RAF. After weeks of training, he was transferred to the 22 Greek Fighter Group due to his natural ability to speak both English and Greek. There, he led a small group of Spitfire Hurricane planes. However, in a brutal engagement he was shot down by an Me-109. He barely escaped capture and was able to board the boats that were evacuating towards Crete.

Step out of the way. He'll keep going until he hits a wall, that being Akranadas. Let him go unmolested, his journey will take less time.

@ Apex
Willing to operate the LG40.
I assume it will have to be dropped and assembled seperately?
Also, have I been demoted?
(Agrees with Commander Holt) I thought I was also a Grefreiter / Private First class... Is that different from Schütze or the same?

Most ranks are similar, but as Paratroopers are ground troops, some differ.
Schütze is indeed first rank, a normla private.
Maybe Apex dregraded you for not participating in the thread enough.

I think this is most likely the real reason why.

It would unrealistic to have almost no Privates in a squad. I guess he chose us because we are the most convient to demote.

Actually, in some core Fallschirmjägerplatoons there were more officers that privates.
They had a problem with distributing them within the company, as they had a sense of honor that would demoralize them with putting them into regular units.

Should all Axis who haven't done so, add more equipment to their person, but put them in the retrievable containers?
Just wondering since Unlimited did it.

I think retrievable containers would be items placed ingame by the Game Master. Afterall, some of the containers went all over the place.

I'll make you guys pfcs again and the npcs are the privates. Will make a better summary later. It's quite hard fighting through all the bullshit in this thread with our moderator having a thumb up his arse.
Red Baron, do you want to be our glider pilot, effectively making you part of the ground force after landing?

Unlike ground troops, it's usually the real flyboys that carry more rank
