Due to moving and Comcast taking their sweet time getting my connection back up and running, its gonna be a bit till I can play again (supposedly the 13th).
The allies should have an easy week.

hehehe unkown Definatly has something to do with the way they build the houses. I mean they can even pack the houses on a truck... try that with a german house. I want to see that truck (or any other european house with a basement)

Umm a normal built house typically is not able to be moved by a truck. Your talking about mobile homes, and those have special places that they can be set here in the states. You cant just put one just anywhere.
We do move more often, but I think that has to do with more apartments here, etc... military have us move alot as well.

(or any other european house with a basement) (And made out of bricks instead of wood, cheapasses!) I'd much rather have a more american type of house though, much cheaper without added hazard since we don't have tornadoes/storms and all that. While it's exceptional, it's possible. They're wooden houses afterall!

Yeah thats what i meant. We have 2 layers of bricks here making a typical wall of a house + 1 layer of steel reinforced concrete. (cheap houses only have those 2 brick layers)
Quote: "A house is for eternity"
But another reason to not move around than is: The house did cost so much (and stands for at least 200 years) that you picked the location really well thoughout in the first place. (like all the aspects that would make you move are taken into consideration allready. Distance to possible future work locations, room for kids if you want some later, than also schools in the area for em and so on)

Yea prefab houses are cheap and wooden. A normal house has a basement (depending on where you live, if its not going to flood it will) and the bottom floor is concrete. Then depending on what kind of house you want you can have wood with brick covering it (or stone) so I wouldnt say that they are cheap.

More like cheap house crappy enconomy, credit squeeze and high default rate, usually means that either renters are having to move becasue the land lord defaulted and the banks are taking ownership or somthing else crazy like that.
