A well used Pensacola can do just as well as a Moltke, if it can get in range.
And a riflemen squad can take out a squad of KCHs.  Still, I think we can all agree KCH are much better.  Just like everyone knows the Moltke is better.

I've taken out a pensacola in my z1.  However, I'd be an idiot if I used that as proof to prove that the z1 is better than a pensacola.

Also, if you're not using the L 8" on the cleavland or brooklyn you're pretty much the same range as a M Pro.  The M Pro has impressive range for a CL.  If I'm not mistaken using the 8" L is a nono.  Think it's ammo restricted or something.

Last, don't underestimate range and a faster speed.  If you're good, it's almost all that matters.  If you suck, well, then lots of other things matter. =P

Alright, here. Pensacola vs. Moltke depends on circumstance. Pensacola has about the same speed, but it does more damage, but it is outranged.

As for my Brook, it does 53 on overheat, enough to catch any M-Pro and get in range with my 6" Ls. I could use 8" D on the Brook, but there is no point when I have the Cleveland. My Cleveland uses 8" N, which range M-Pros with their ickle 6.75", which not only have less range, but have far inferior damage.

33dmg/sec and 20 range for the 8" N
compared to
41.9dmg/sec and 19 range for the 6.75" L/40s L

The range is almost the same, but the m pro does 30% more damage.  Using the 6" instead and you'd lose in both range and damage.

Those guns are the reason the mpro is so good.  And why the mpro is arguably the best CL in the game.

Just some quotes from some of the better players in the navy field forums.

I think the only one that would stand up to the mpro in terms of a reasonable argument would be the mogami.

Quote from: steelfirex
Yes, in the capable hands of a good pilot, the M-pro is the best cl ingame. It even
holds useful AA.

Quote from: obst
@topic: In CLCA I'd definately vote for M-Pro as best... but in a GB2 I'd much, much
prefer a Brooklyn. Or for fun in general. Brooklyn just plays so relaxed...

Quote from: slacker247
From an Edin driver's point of view, a Mog or M Pro seem the most deadly opponents.

Quote from: slayer6
1. Spaehkreuzer D-40 with CL2 FCS and 6.75"sL

2. M-Project with CL1 FCS and 6.75"sL

3. Mogami with CL1 FCS and 7.9"

4. K-Class with CL2 FCS and 11"sN

All other CL's are food

Quote from: CmdrMadness
In the hands of someone who know what they
are doing its the MPro. Because unless its corned, it can hit an run all day long. Nothing more
frustrating than chasing an MPro.

Quote from: CidJackaries
Agreed M-pro is the best, but I like the Cleveland and Brook.

Quote from: jcool83
i have to say a relative tie between Mpro and Mogami

in my Mpro in a cl rooms i tried to take out the Mpros first and the mogami's a close
second because they were the biggest threat. Out of the two high US cl's i found the
Brooklyn more formidable than the cleveland.
And i cant say much in the way of bad for the edin either. The edin is great with armor Cheesy
so i rate them as a top 3

1. Mpro = Mogami
2. Brooklyn
3. Edin

i know there are 4 boats there but i still say its almost too close to call between Mpro
and Mogami

Quote from: waylander
KM seems to get a rough deal in Blitz because people run it (Mpro) with retarded set-ups
or anti-DD set-ups. Gear it up to run the 6.75's and get a mate to help and run all day
destroying everything in your path.

Quote from: badone1960
best cl let me see ive run brooky cleve mog mpro and eden and can say that mog
and mpro outrange us uk but in right hands cleve can be a beast brooky is mainly
dd killer cause its outranged by all pre blitz cl rooms mog or mpro cleve had to have
a pack around her cause even with 8s she couldnt handle mpro or mogs range

That site is 2 years old dude =)

The 6.75L has a reload time of 5, while the 8N has 6.6. Are you telling me that a single shell in both guns does the same damage?

Oh and if I wanted to waste time I could get a bunch of quotes saying that any ship is the "best". That's the most retarded argument ever.

yes
155 + 53 for the 6.75Ls = 208 dmg
210 + 8 for the 8N = 218 dmg

Not exactly the same, but close enough.  This is why those 6.75Ls own.  Huge range, great damage, and the mpro has great speed.  Hence it is arguably the best CL in the game.

I've run the brook and the cleavland and the m pro.  Brook and cleavland are good.  M pro is better IMO.  Just the range, damage and speed.

If you look for others opinions, in general you'll get the same result.  At least I have.

Well you're retarded then. No way does a 6.75 L from the country known for weak damage do almost as much as a bigger shell, of the more damage variety and from a nation with good guns Smiley

Oh and I just told you, that site is horribly outdated.

You must also take into account spread. Not every shell is going to hit from the M-Pro, and since you seem to think it will constantly be shooting from it's longest range, it's spread would be even worse. Now, my Cleveland doesn't have the best spread, but when it's shells hit, they hurt. Bad.

And when you do that damage and range thing, I use LHE, just so you know. Not HHE. Then, you might've been looking at that.

Well, 2 years ago it did.

@Days:  No, everyone uses LHE.  All comparisons were with LHE.

I figured. It's just after seeing a New Mexico '45 using Auto-Aim that I gave up on people being smart about NavyField. I shouldn't have questioned you though, you're an intelligent person.
