Read the entire thread for answers.

And, please, do the same for any thread one posts in.

People say that you should use your first operator to get a BB, then go CV.

Personally, I went CV first. And it's a ton of fun, even if you get owned by everything else out there at first (yes, that includes frigates).

Just make sure to level at least 4 pilots if you go CV first.
who the hell are you?

Acker... thats who.

I'm still trying to roll my pilots. Only have one fighter so far. I'm getting a BB in the meanwhile =)

I rolled 11/11 pilots (2 fighter, 2 bomber) very quickly. Then, I managed to roll 9/11/12 engine and a 10/12/10 restorer.

Must have broken some sort of probability law there...

Hmm engine doesn't matter for restorers =)

I rolled a bunch of 12/11 and 11/12 fighters and bombers, but initially didn't plan to get any CV so I gave them to Ucross =) I'll roll some again, sooner or later.

I do need to level one of my BB line BOs to some good ship though. My first set of gunners is about to hit 60, so time is running out =)

Restore is calculated through the net Restore bonus your entire crew gives. Every little bit counts.

Yeah, restore and repair speed are both calculated based on entire crew. That's not what I said. I said the Engine stat has no effect for Restorers =)

So, other than being poor and losing growth on my crew for lack of points.

What does Navyfield offer in the long run, because most high end combat just seems to be floating around firing your guns at maximum range...which would be kinda boring to me.

None of the guns seem to have a minimal angle so although sometimes you can sneak up on a slower but bigger ship they can usually easily angle there guns right down within a second or two  and then wipe you out in one shot, carrying on like nothing happened. Considering some of the guns have maximum angles of 30 or 55 I'd have thought although maybe less realistic for gameplay that some of them would have the inability to fire within a minimum range...

Tip - Skip the Konigsberg.  It sucks.  The only value it has is being a gimmick ship running with a single 11" gun.

Z99 - MPro - Hipper - Eugen - etc...  Don't go the Deutschland route unless you have vetted and boosted gunners, or at least high level gunners.
