Now, I remember being told to leave and go to another server. Whats up with all the other games being run as large groups on the EIR server.

I asked ucross after your tirade the other night, and he was perfectly fine with it on two points. 1 - people playing the other game stay out of the lobby 2 - people playing the other game do not ask people in vent to leave EIR games to join them nuff said. ------------ EDIT this is assuming the topic is navy field. |

The fact of the matter is that EiR is kinda stalled out, a lot of us have played a bijilion games (i am well over 1000 now myself) of EiR and really are just waiting for 2.0. We still pick up a game a night, or more, for the most part. But between the times when there are not games to be found, long wait times, and regular boredom we want to continue being part of the community we have grown to love.
For most of us, its the community that keeps us coming back nightly.
and sorry if I miscommunicated our discussion in your opinion Ucross. I could have said it was pertaining to navy field in the last message, I dunno.

If I recall that was what we were doing with Sins, but still we were told to not be on EiR vent when playing.
I just wanted clarification, if its now an open vent I will play my other games here as well.

you usually are playing other games while you wait ampm... but if your going to be a little kid about it, your simply going to cause problems for the rest of the community which only YOU have a problem with. Ultimately the vent is used for EIR and COH only, ucross said we could piddle with navy field. If enough people want to complain about it i'll moderate that out of the vent and get them all to go to my private server, which won't help EIR either. |

It doesn't help EiR either way having people in vent not playing though, sure its nice to hang out in a vent everyone already has, but its not a big difference. All it does is stop the illusion that there might be a bunch of people to play with.

the only people in vent to 'play with' are the ones in the lobby, or potentially the discussion channels. any battle channel means they are busy and not there to play a game with anyways. there is a reason the rooms were moved to 4 people max so that others could not invade them looking to find people to play with. so no, it doesn't change any illusion, just the illusion for those who don't understand how the vent works in the first place. |

What is the problem? Are we somehow bothering you by playing navy field in the vent? Going to another vent wouldnt be an issue this is just more conventiant atm. A lot of us are just playing other games waiting for 2.0 to come out. Navy Field is fun and its something to do while waiting for 2.0, honestly if you dont like it take it up with the owner of the vent. Stop coming into the channel and whining because were playing navy field. Also on your point about people getting asked to play other games in other vents. This was because at the time vent was constantly getting overflowed and at some points people couldnt get on because it was full. Vent has since been upgraded and there is no overcrowding issues on vent as far as I know. Thus it makes no differance at all whether we play in the EiR vent or in some other vent. |

oh and yes it is beneficial to EIR that we play other games in its vent. why? because it keeps the community together! which has to be one of the most important things about this mod.
