Unless you ask someone (ie staff) before starting something Non-EiR.

80 slots on eir vent and barely 20 used averagely at one time i wouldnt call that limited.

I'm with Salan, the Vent channel is pretty much the only thing that keeps half the players in the EIR community in.
I mean, i've not palyer EIR in like 2 weeks and I dont really plan on playing it again until 2.0, but it keeps people in the circle.

I mean if its gonna be EIR or GTFO then you're gonna lose alot of the core members of the mod.

Yup, besides, it's not like they're taking up 'valuable ventrillo space'. The player base has been declining drastically again lately, without those people playing different games on ventrillo the ventrillo server would look a lot more empty most of the time. And as a result of this, other people would be less eager to hop on, resulting in a further decrease of EIR players.

When we actually have 40 people on vent again, then yes, boot those people not playing EIR. But on regular weekdays, odd hours, etc? They're doing more good than harm by at least sitting in an otherwise empty ventrillo.


In addition, it's not just 'EIR', fldash confirmed a while back that playing regular COH is fine. And by that I also understand other COH mods like BotB, fortress europe, etc.


Playing other games on these otherwise dull times is what is keeping this community together, it's what keeps most people, including myself playing and it's what will bring us back to EIR everytime.
Stop being so negative about it, it's only a temp. thing and imho it still doesn't happen on a large scale.

I never actually said you can't play other games, it's preferred that you use vent for EiR mostly.

If you can't get a game going then by all means play another game while still on vent. What we don't like is people stealing other players from EiR games to go play this months in game (see sins and fow)

If however you would want to organise something like a few games of non coh related gaming between members of the community, it would be nice if you could ask the staff if you can do so. You'll will most likely get a yes, if however you don't ask first then its more likely that you'll be asked to leave.

Simply keeping the staff in the know is the best way to go.

Hey thats cool ill leave EIR vent np,  you guys want those who want to play to be there np with me, the community has grown a little beyond EIR in allot of ways, ikariam seemed to be ok and a slot and a whole forum section was made for it. but then that was sanctioned by the mods.

I feel that if we as a group stayed together then it was somthing more than eir and a good solid gaming group had been formed, heaps play COD4, Eve, and others will mess around with a whole heap of other games as well never really caused an issue.   

Suffice to say if you don't want us here then np ill switch to salans server.  I appreciate you guys want to play eir and want to have only people playing eir on your server so np, but im tired of the same old thing and since 2.0 we can safley say has no real eta beyond when its out, im not hanging around to be berated because i wish to play another game with people ive developed a good relationship here thanks to eir. 

I havn't played an eir game for over 2 weeks now enjoying the break but if my continued while somtimes varied loyalty to Europe in Ruins requires i sign off for a while and not be on vent to help out with the occasional question and contribute to maintaining the community so be it.

While it is true migi this might not be the best way to deal with it. First respond with your arguments, then ignore his flame posts.

When this argument fisrt came up it was related to the fact that it was not only eir community playing whatever distraction games on the server, it was there freinds, and people they met while playing and it was flooding the server.

While you may be having trouble playing the game while people are on the server AmPm, I beleive it has more to do with the fact that I have heard at least 3 players say your zealotry scares them, they dont like it when you try to tell tham how to use their troops, and your over all piss poor attitude.

I think the real thing to point out in this is that most of the people sitting in the axis and allie channels playing navy feild right now were sitting in the axis and allies channels doin nothing at all or surfing the web, or playing something else 3 weeks ago before navy feild ever came around doing the same thing they are right now, waiting for 2.0.

So as i said before cry more, I dont have to listen to it anymore, I have had you muted and ignored for goin on 9 months, I wish I could ignore you on here too. Work on your attitude man, it sucks.
