I played a game that lasted for more then 2 hours for a 2v2. I was in a game with all new people and the allies are  defending and the axis attacking. Someone didn't have the map back and the map was with two bridges and a river. After 50 some minutes I asked to quit the game but the axis wouldn't thinking the game would count so another hour later I was asking for help from anyone.

The axis found out that they can attack by building tank traps, wire, mines and anything that you do if your on defense and bunkers. It was WW1 all over again...

plz put the timer back in to place.

ps. We got to the point the timer stopped.

Ummm, I didn't have any non-vanilla maps. And both us axis wanted to attack, but the north bridge got blown up, there was wire and tank traps blocking the middle and south crossing(it was veire river valley) and we had lost all our anti-emplacement options but my flak 88. And didn't the game end itself due to the time?

Of all stock maps, you chose VIRE RIVER VALLEY? Oh come on. It's already unplayable in standard CoH, what do you think will happen in EiR where people are extra cautious? Come ON!

And what did you expect if you cover all the crossings with wire and tank traps and mg nests and AT guns? The only reason there was any fighting was due to snipers and artillery. I only bombarded your obstacles because there was nothing else we could do! The only reason my 88 was firing was to clear paths for storm spotters.(if i understand your last bit right)

Also, can you repair bridges?

We might want to consider making a list of un-EiRable maps...Vire, being an un-CoH-able map, would be at the top. I happen to know from experience that Hochwald gap would also be up there.

tbh I think any of you guys that played that map got what you deserved, you have to be out of your mind to play that map. go rails and metal if you have to do stock.

how did you not run out of troops though?

It wasn't my choice. And I at least was running low on troops from attrition( and an early game mistake where I accidentally retreated some grens while trying to chat) and we couldn't get much pop cap to put many troops on the field. And not all the troops I had were useful for our current situation, so I didn't bother with them. And it was campy as hell.

Vire river valley... OF COURSE IT WAS CAMPY AS HELL! are you guys moronic, you complain a game took 2 hours which is fair enough.

But then you admitted it was on Vire fucking river valley?! Seriously i have no sympathy. games on VCoH take in excess of 2 hours on that map sometimes, you shouldn't be so surprised.

Play montherm with me and be on the small iland ;P All players that ever had that position can tell a very sad story of loses, isolation and helpless-ness.

Especially unk0wn how repaired a bridge for 15 mins with 1 engy, but didnt expect that i had a demo squad on the other bridge side ;Wink

eesh, you played vire river valley?

I only play montherme if all players agree to not blow the bridges, EIR is not a mod for bridges.

To opening poster, do you really think the timer would solve the map's problem?

You mean 'the attackers would have to suicide into their lines'. Good luck breaking through when you play vire river valley and they blow up one bridge and close down one passage, leaving only one opening.... Don't play that map, it's simple.

Also, after 2 hours you can have one side abandon without requiring the other side to agree Wink. You could've just done that.
