Hey all

Just thought i'd drop in and say hello to everyone as im new around these parts. Me and my mates were a bit tired of COh OF arty/blob spam fest so we thought wed give this mod a crack....have to say FREAKIN AWESOME Smiley.

Although we are still getting used to EIR it seems to offer something totally different to the current COH experince, it has a sense of deep tactical planning plus heavy reliance on unit preservation and pin point micro, something that vannila COh once had in a different way nut no longer has.

Getting started was a bit of a drama, the orientation video must be old as it didnt match the current version, but we figured it out:)

The EIR launcher is a handy tool, my only suggestion here would be to include some kind of invite/password function to make creating games easier. We had this waner joining our games tonight who wouldnt leave and was flamin/spammin ect, but thats the internet i spose.

Anyway looking fwd to playing a bit more, nice work to the modders, its looks great:)

cheers

porta

Yeah, one of Porta's clanmates here. This mod is amazing and really brings back that Vcoh style of unit preservation and usage. its great.

Yeah, I must say I was very impressed with the mod when I first tried it, I considered making one of these threads myself. I'm still one of the newer guys but at this point I'm acclimated to the new feel of the game it is simply more satisfying than vCoH. Only downside is the occasional disappointment of losing vet units, something that isn't really significant in vCoH. But then, without that, there would be no satisfaction in getting them Smiley

Woo Australia

Yeah im new and been having a great time playing this mod. It changes CoH for the better. It's a great feeling playing on the defence slowly loosing ground and then getting a lucky break and pushing their whole team back to their spawn in one go. Hope to find more people to add to this community.

When the war goes on, the Arty/Blobfest will return Smiley .
Nice to see so many new players, just wondering why it doesn't get any more over time.

Also, I lost a game due to not enough anti-infantry units, so airborne get double damage at each vet level.

More changes to come.

yeah thats me Smiley, be happy to help out a little once i get my head around the mod.

quick question, ive made two profiles Porta and Portarious, as i assume you cant play both factions under the same profile

Apparently when you are defending your meant to deploy your troops and set up defenses

I thought you needed two different profiles under your Relic account, one for each forum account?

Once i get used the mod a bit more i'll def do a SC of it.

Also i have made a few custom maps, so if your looking for a few more im sure i could modify them to suit EIR.
