If you look at the history of balancing, spam is not what the devs want.

Zokie never played under the name zokie. He's a talented player and will develop well if he continues to play. Oh, and he's a friend of mine Tongue

Does that mean I have to be nice to him even though he's claiming gimmick companies and spam = skillful play

Then talk to your friend and explain to him why his post is full of fail and his ideas are wrong, otherwise it looks like I have to

I play this game mostly for shits and giggles, I'll be back once you get more CPs and RB to start with since that's what I want. To try shit out and see how I can win the game.

I doubt that a spammer or someone who plays gimmicks would win if they lacked skill. Or they have it in planning, that's one of the things in EIR you can win by out-planning someone. If you lose to someone who unskillfully pushes out a ton of flamewagons and you lose then I think it safe to say that you got out played by a shitty strategy. You do what a lot of people do when they lose, they blame their opponent "he used an unfair tactic" "he was unskilled I should have won" etc, if you lose there are only a few explanations: You fucked up, you faced an opponent that outplayed you or you faced an opponent that out-planned you.

this is sad but true i was in this game on the allies side and we weren't prepared for such a tactic. Its just another way to play the game thats just about all there is too it its annoying at times but you play and get on with your life not bitch about it 3 days later

I don't care about the loss, only reason I posted here at all was because puddin was saying the removal of ANTS has caused people to not want to play him

Only reason I would choose not to play someone is not because of the place on the leaderboard. But the fact they drop (and in some very extreme cases lag out a lot).

Saying that, I'm not surprised a lot of people don't play with HighVelocity.  Tongue

***** My point about having multiple companies is that you can build one that you don't care if it wins or not, or if it keeps vet or not. Since you avoid certain people because of the armies they face, you already have an idea now don't you. So if you see that puddin is in a game against you, you simply switch over to that company. Now if he pulls a one-trick pony on you, its no big deal. You don't get your vet companies ruined due to unit spam. its one game. So that was my point. Build a company to go up against people like that and then its not so stressful.

Its not stressful at all, I can just choose not to play against people who have a history of using gimmick companies against me, its not something I enjoy and so I choose to just avoid them.

I really don't know why people have such a problem with me choosing not to play certain people - my list consists of a grand total of 3 players, there are hundreds more in the community I really enjoy playing with and against.   I only have one company because I don't have that much time to play any more, and the games I have I use to work towards my goal of improving my army and playing fun, challenging games that test my skill and teamwork vs those of my opponents.

Why are people taking this so personally?

The ability to spam a single unit type, throw away companies and play to kill vet/aggrevate others is a direct cause of the absence of a control mechanism. It's basically exploiting the lack of such system as like Lai stated, it's not the kind of gameplay the Devs want in the first place. But there's no penalty to it, so why wouldn't people abuse it...?  Roll Eyes

A temporarily solution while we wait for the dynamic purchasing is simple, availability.
Bring it back already ffs.
