Gayest game I've ever played. Got rushed by quads and M-10s, and was continually hit by... more M-10s and quads and flame engs.

Battle#3471

If this isn't spam I don't know what is. When you can pretty much suicide every M-10 and I still run out of AT to defend against it, that's spam. I think I may have a black list started.

Also, I lost a game due to not enough anti-infantry units, so airborne get double damage at each vet level.

More changes to come.

My AT was an 88 that I never would of had a moments chance to field. I guess 3 schrecks, 2 AT guns and 4 stugs, isn't enough AT?

Anyways, Tod how did you and natedog fair against them?

For that kind of spam you need at least 2 PAKs on field + a p4 or something to act as a mobile hardpoint.

Or a couple Panthers.

I spoke with Tod and nate who fought them after I did and gave them a warning, they said they destroyed all the armor they sent out, but lost due to MCP. Too bad they didn't save their replay so I could see what to do!

Fucking oath. Me and Willshire went up against M10, Quad, and M8 spam earlier. 21 vehicle kills between us. To exacerbate things, they had a Calliope as well! Thank fucking Christ it was only ONE of them spamming that shit. A serious pain in the ass to say the least.

Paks totally won it though. And volks to recrew the paks when they get decrewed. And luck falling out of your ass.

Allies spam because they can't beat axis with skills they do not have. There are few players who dont spam on allies side, and i respect those guys, I am happy if they beat me because it is a fair game and they fought better than me. Just yesterday I went up against a 12 snipers spam , and two days ago a m8/quad spam. The problem is that there are no rules against rush or spam, and it will be pointless to forbid you have more than x units on the field. Just don't play with those noobs or play and be sure to own them.

Just spam stugs.

The joys of having no availability!

First I would like to say that KptNachbar and I are no noobs. I'm a lvl 8 player across the board in vCOH 1v1, and we have played many 2v2AT games together in the beta and are now lvl 7 as a team.
Now the spam we do is only effective if the allies are on the defending side, this is the case because then we can lose many units without losing much territory because we keep the pressure on constantly so they can't cap any territory.
This is what my company consists of:
Squads in company:
Unit               #
Allied HMG      2
Allied Mortar   2
Engineers       5
Halftrack        6
Jeep              3
M10              7
Riflemen        21

My teammate has more half tracks and jeeps, but you get the picture. This tactic works best if both players go armor company, but i guess you have figured that out by now. We have played this strat because we don't like defending, as in the mortar battles and laying wire across the map.

Looks like a pretty balanced company to me, the only 'extraordinary' aspect of your company is the high amount of M10s, which is not even that big of a deal. (And axis player can get up to 10 Stugs)

Spaming is just a tactic like any other.  Both axis and allies have spam unit and you just have to adjust to play against spammers

An early Panther/KT/Tiger from one of the axis would surely cause big problems?

Early tigers/KTs i havn't found to be very effective, they're just too much pop-cap even in larger games for the early game to handle, you just end up wasting your time unless you're comfortable using it to spearhead a push and almost certainly lose it.

Yes i certainly wouldn't recommend it usually but in the specific context of the above it would seem an obvious choice from 1 of the players.

Only a dual panther start would cause real problems, because the tigers can't stand up to m10's because of the slow turret traversal speed. Besides that, you can't cap with tanks, so we would still have a territory advantage. In the long run we would lose most of our m10's but two dead panthers are, correct me if I'm wrong, about equal to 6 dead m10's.

PAK + Schreck = bye bye m10. Seriously, there's so many easy ways to beat M10s, the only thing they're good at anyway is, surprise surprise, killing tanks & vehicles.
