Akranadas, I believe I have spent enough time with you over the last year to say that I understand where you are, where you have been, and why you say what you say. 

The mod and this community has made a lot of us want more, and willing to give more, then we have ever wanted/given to other things in the past.  You put yourself aside to do the moderating of the forum out of love for the project, nothing else.  I have thanked you randomly in private, but I want to thank you here publicly for all the dedication you have shown to this community.

A lot of us old dedicated members are not active atm, I personally browse the forums constantly, stay on vent doing something else incase i need to moderate something, and yet I have played a whole 8 games this war, 7 on the second day of the war.  (i'm really waiting for the free cps haha)

going to relic fan day made me so much more eager to play COH again, and to do more then I have done this last month, but again its only this community, or what it was to me over the last year that I haven't ever posted a goodbye message, and stopped doing what I could.

I have to respond to draygons post, but I'll leave that in the next reply.

IN response to draygons message, and a bit of a fanboi approach to fldash's situation.

I had a really good conversation with fldash last night while I was hanging out in his EKK channel.  I was very happy that he talked to me, and I found myself to be much more at ease with EIR and its current state because of that conversation.  without causing dash the need to kill me for stating anything in exaggeration (ucross loves the salan effect on exaggerations) I feel that the current situation with EIR is in absolutely everyones best interest.

I realized last night that I am enjoying my break from EIR at the moment.   I have played darn close to 1200 games of EIR in the last year, and I needed a bit of time away from the routine before 2.0 hits the shelves!   

Do i Believe 2.0 will happen, yes, I completely do.  I am not on a time frame anymore, I don't care if its this year even.  I just believe at some point it will happen, and then I will be ready and excited for it again!

I look at dash's time on conan, yes he is playing conan, and I see it as his way to finaly relax and release the issues he has been dealing with.  this community has been an enormous success for them, but they never really had the functional shielding they needed (HR department) that would have kept them from trying to pander to EVERY need of every person, and still function on a penniless project.   Maybe his wife did have an issue with him being on eir, because EIR made him unhappy.

as far as Akranadas not being a moderator, I am sure that people like myself and or kolath would easily step in.

The problem with me moderating the forum is that I would hand out a lot more stiffer penalties then akranadas ever did.  I have a very strict thought on what to do when rules are broken.

but eitherway, the mod will go on, our friendships will endure, even if there are parts of not being there.

I posted what I posted based on the fact that his reasoning for not being focused was/is based on his wifes position; then seeing him play something else that I KNOW takes alot of time to do is what really got me (hell I gave up MMOs for EiR really, because I dont want to pay per month nor spend that much time leveling something up). So thats why I did, Im just frustrated with the state of things, and I agree Salan they could have/ should have had a better PR department for keeping the community informed (of which I specifically asked FL if I myself could take up that role).

I'm very sad to see you go Akra =( Although we didn't play that many games together it was still fun when we did. I rememeber the days when there was such few things to moderate I didn't even know you were the moderator here. I'll miss your caring moderation (fuck anything Anthony said about it) and hope we will see you again soon.

Ark those menu shots and stuff are awesome! I hope to see them in game one day. And I know what you mean about Fls lack of response because I wanted to be a forum moderator, and help with the mod doing any kind of photoshop stuff, much like all those screens you made, and if you saw in a past post I made new vet 3 symbols, golden star for vet 3 US troops, a different style iron cross for PE and the red white and blue target symbol for brits, but never got a response.

Hope you'll pop around EiR from time to time for a quick bludgeoning(that's to say you kickin my ass so hard I fly off the chair). What can I say? The newer generation is ok once you find out which of em is is insane, which is sane and which is a god-like korean microer but I guess the older players were something else.

Good luck and always remember my company will be glad to blow yours a new a** hole any time you feel the need to play a game .
