I made a post about the same game a few months ago and everybody ignored it...oh well. The game was okay IMO, got tired of it and got rid of the game though.

It's 'ok'.

Mind you I'd say that about most games nowadays, if you missed beta you're going to have a harder time of it since all beta participants got 1 month free premium (so more trait points) and an extra 1.5k tribute.

If you're not stupid with your starter tribute though you can get the best equipment for your army very easily. My main gripe with the system was you take damage to items and it costs tribute to repair which killed any enjoyment of pvp, this seems to have been resolved now. Don't waste tribute converting followers or buying dreamlord equipment! Especially if you're going to be doing pvp, which I will presume is all of you. You will need some time and a dreamforge to repair using no tribute, something I've yet to test myself.

Your 'best' start imo is to go through the tutorial, then once you hit the patria manager (web browser portion) assign 31 workers to the warfare (training grounds) building, build 2 houses and assign the rest to the welfare (ministry) building.

Once this is done click the warfare and then research tab and unlock your infantry and research their mini tech by reselecting the infantry research and 'inside' it is their skill. after this is finished start researching your ranged unit, then their skill finally researching the buildings upgrade. For welfare research houses (land expansion) and the building upgrade.

Once this is done you will have over 90 expedition which is your PvE party size and can take all 3 infantry into the missions with your dreamlord making the first part of the game much easier for yourself. One important thing to note here is you will have no people in the hospital and any full squads that die will be lost, if this is going to happen, return to base immediately as dead soldiers which cannot be revived are gone and you will have to wait for a new follower to convert (30 minutes default). Something which will be resolved when you get more people and can assign them to the hospital or simply don't let any die, which becomes very easy.

Also, max CV members is 15 so you might need multiples if you get enough interest.

No idea why that would be, usually instant.

Oh yeah, there's also no need to post account name, all forum and interaction is done via your avatars name. Funny I've not actually seen anyone from EiR either, you did join the Euro server and not the mysterious german one right? Wink

Im still playing, mostly in the mornings I get on and do a few runs on the map to get more items to make into gnosis...usually gets me 15-20 followers a pop.  Im building up my army before I start really doing the PvP thing.

I went the casting race...forget the name right now.  I have 3 ranged units, and 5 melee units and I have researched my first hero character as well.  The game is pretty damn hard IMO to figure out how things work.  Took me like 2 weeks to figure out that putting more workers in your training ground meant you could add more units to your party when your doing PvE.

I have 55 workers in there now and am at 140 for my party group size...and its still not enough to be the damn swamp king, unless Im doing something wrong.

A suggestion for everyone, unless your in a convergence that has someone that needs recipes for shit, dont bother saving them, just convert to gnosis..you'll grow faster.  i think you need 500 people in your population before your Dreamlord lvls up to 2.  PvP is completely different Ive done 4 matches trying to take land and I am lvl 4 in that some how (even though Ive lost all 4 matches) I think it has something to do with your army size.

Make sure you do all the research on a unit, after you research it, if it has a + on it there is a secondary research to do on it, usually a spell either active or passive that needs to be researched.  So far I am Tier 2 on all research (except anything having to do with crafting)  I have yet to find any equipment that can go on my dreamlord but have some that I have outfitted my melee guys with giving them some more armor.

By tonight my Wraiths secondary will be done and they have a spell that heals...woohoo so I dont have to buy the damn healing thing for the DL anymore costing me 10 Tribute a pop.

I've been playing too. I think I understood everything a bit better than you Draygon, but I'm still weaker due to time. I just hit City level 2 and I have around 150 workers. I have 3 melee and 1 Ranged.

Someone obviously didn't read the FAQ.

Anyways, the ai is pretty easy to abuse, the devs lazily added a buff to all mobs called 'enraged' that was meant to prevent players using ranged spam (all 7 ranged). It adds 6 speed and 50% melee damage but didn't really work ..anyways, once you get started and unlock your ranged units take them and your dreamlord and drop the infanntry. Use the skill to pull one mob at a time and pull your units back behind your dreamlord, he'll fire a couple of shot and the mobs will enrage but engage your dreamlord, he has taken the aggro by generating the most threat. as soon as this happen let all your units smash the enemy, rinse repeat. Enraged triggers when a mob switches target but usually only when it switched targets to a ranged attacker.

The PvE is very basic and 90% of the island can be done using level 1-2 ranged and support units.

PvP was really fun until I wasted my tribute repairing basic items, like mentioned this should now be doable using the craft buildings but I've still to get enough people into them to check myself.

DO not waste tribute on divine interventions, do not waste tribute on dreamlord items, save it all for tribute bought army items. preferably the ones accessible via traits.

PvP level is determined by the researches you have done towards enhancing your army and Stronghold/TacPos

Hmm you sure I should get rid of my Judges, the Proselytes may do good damage but they die very fast.  Ive got almost all my Tier 2's unlocked for the army, working on getting the rest unlocked for the building parts.  Im quite interested in the crafting but seeing as how it takes for-fucking-ever to research anything in it, it is the last thing I am going to work on.

General PvE tactic, get agro with your dl and let your ranged spam on the enemy.
Dl runs in circles (around the ranged) and shoots once very while to keep agro.
Mission complete!
