Ok now I hate gateway. We tried to get them to send us the card, but apparently they can't do that due to the Nvidia 8500GT being apparently built into the motherboard.
How common is that and could that have increased my chance of the card failing, and would it be possible for me to get a new GFx card even though the one I have is built into the motherboard, or would I have to get a new mobo along with a new card.

just remembered, i need a fourth for doing computer work on my two other machines, will have a switch box for them, i am going to learn linux and try putting OS X on a PC

I am beginning to think that the memory onboard the graphics card has become corrupted, but i don't know. @AmPm model of what? Card or mobo? |

I can't believe you're going to go through so much trouble for a crap card like that. Buy a new one, 9600GT for example and you'll actually be able to run the game on high settings while you're at it. That card is NOT worth the trouble and likely costs imo . |

Yeah I know I probably will get a new card eventually just not right now. I mean I have no real problems with the card (other then the brokenness). I mean I already run the game on all high so a new card would just be used to help me with the newer games.
