Every time you put something in play, especially a valuable unit, understand that in all likelihood the enemy will be doing everything they can to destroy it.  This is probably one of the only places where people actually think of it as unsportsman-like for an opponent to destroy their units; which, ironically, is the very objective of the game.

well said, i hope that clears it up for everyone, so we can finish this conversation. Anything on the field can die. Dont get angry at the opponent for killing it. Be mad at urself for fielding it.

Good point THTB.

However I propose this question to everyone. A Panther is at half health and retreats to a repair bunker in its own lines. I drop Recoiless Rifles to the flank of the Repair Station. My sole purpose is to kill the Panther and then try to get out before reinforcements come to defend. What is the communities opinion on that? I see it as something that is tactical to remove a unit from the playing field. I've heard some people use such an example as "Vet Hunting". I see it as ridding the field of a very strong unit, I don't see a problem doing such an action. What is the communities thoughts on this?

What i enjoy about debating with yanks is the fact that they feel they must bend you to there will in every discussion & that only there opinion is of any value.

In both of my previous threads I have been polite & basically respectful in trying to put forward a view point which I think is of some value, equally I have in no way said that any individual is a 'Twofaced Arse' which would be uncalled for as no one has actually done anything wrong (so it baffles me why many posters get so excitable, i can only presume that its a Teenager thing).

Anyway the essence of my post is this:-

If I who have been playing here approximatley 2months now, feel that its a pretty low playstyle, & tbh wholely unnecessary (as typically the game is won or lost b4 this behaviour ensues) then maybe so might other players, not all ofc, but quite likely the newer noobish players certainly.

And ofc if I then have a choice of players to engage with in the next battle will I choose :-

A)  The bunch of unknown players or friends Ive gotten to know.

OR

B)  The bunch of highly skilled (& ofc prearranged teamed up) players who are itching to hunt down every last unit I may field no matter how quickly they r dominating the game, just incase an average player may actually get a decent vetted unit which god forbid he may use against me in another game & could lead to a more balanced future encounter cause the weaker player isnt always using Vet 0 units compounding his reduced skill.

In summary abit of restraint may sumtimes be the difference between you guys waiting 10min for a game or 60min you do the math.

P.S.

Oh yes & Bodybag/Leaf the Panther you keep referring to as a Vet whore was actually roving around your rear area in a failed atempt to kill your FUCKING CALLIPOLY (& u kept feeding it other units) if you have any better suggestions of how a Blitz & Terror player should knock that particular peice of crap out then im all ears, otherwise how about not trying to drag me down to your own dirty tactics & sod off.

well if you would not like so many.. well.. hostile results from the community on this post, then you should've thought about the whole title. Twofaces Arse.. is fairly impolite if you ask me, and it insinuates slight disrespect towards someone... or others...

I understand if you were frustrated in that game for losing, but you are frustrated over something of little importance, in my opinion.

Now that you say you were rovering around the back looking for the calliope. Basicly driving in his territory, you have no right to complain for it to die. You were risking it, and you should understand that the risk for that panther is death... not "limpingawaybacktospawn".

but its ok. Theres always another day to level that panther up and wrek havoc Smiley

I take offense to this.

And isn't the whole point of arguing to make the other person believe as you do or prove the other person wrong? I mean, seriously, you argue until you're either tired of it or have one or the other's point validly proven.

Except in cases like this. You will never find the factual answer, and you will always have people arguing about it because it is opinion. Arguing about opinion will get you nowhere.

Wolster, I am not trying to be hostile, but it is obvious that this was in response to out game, you can bring in age and nationallity but I don't give a flying fuck.

I have absolutely no problem with running the Panther back to try and kill the cally. That is completely fine, I pulled out shermans to cover and lost them, then you pulled back to repair. I ran up an m8 to lay a mine to delay the repair process and then leaf dropped barrages on it. We moved up and took out the Panther that had been in our lines destroying stuff.

Apparently you want special rules so that you can keep stuff. I was unaware you would like to play with a set of rules that dictates how you want your opponents to play with you. Why can we not kill the tank that was killing all of our stuff? And i highly doubt that you not wanting to play with me and leaf will cause us to wait for longer games. I'm sorry that this has angered you so much and I hope that we can regain a sort of internet friendship.

And PS. 3v3 with me salan and someone else vs you schwarz and sach (iirc) on St. Come Du Mont. I bring out my Pershing, it takes dammage I begin pulling it back (we were already going to lose and pushed back to my spawn) you push foward with the Panther and kill it as it was 1/2 a screen length from the call in point. Did that anger me? No, I over extended and you moved in to capitalize.

I am now done with this episode and I plan on enjoying my vacation with my family, see you guys in 2 weeks.

The Panther lived through the risky part of its endevours, & if it had been killed during that time np, ofc its my fault etc..., but it died 5 inches from the bloody exit after a 15minute journey from the smoking rubble that used to be the repair bunker.

Im not bothered about the incident at all since 30minutes after the game, its not THAT important.

In fact im starting to regret even bringing the matter up on these forums.

Play how u want guys ill join the games as i fancy end off.

heh, see the problem is, in your view. Due to the long time you spent barly rolling to the spawn, you should live, where in fact your ignoring the fact that he spent so many units and so much time attacking that Panther, that he deserves the kill.

In my opinion.  You have every right to kill a tank no matter what.  Bodybag took out my vet 3 P4 with 900xp.  He even practically suicided a sherman to do this.  But you know what?  If he didnt do that, I either would have repaired it and killed more stuff, or retreated it and killed more allied units in the long run.  And it is not easy to get a leaderboard P4.  When you waste units to run down another unit(That is clearly heading off-map), its slightly more out of line, but the point still stands that he has every reason to kill it, and it shouldnt be made personal at all.

When a enemy tank is fleeing, he could get repairs, which endangers my men (and my allies). Unless he's practically on the border of their side, but who wouldn't retreat at that point?

Of course I see the argument from both sides. How else would I be able to prove a valid point?

How did I prove the perspective thing? I understand that from his eyes apparently US Citizens tend to be close minded. I can see from your eyes you think the same, or think I am.

From what I can see you're only saying that because you dislike me. Prick.

I once had a vet 2 sniper that had been with me since i made my company and i had never brought him out. I play schultzz and i retreat the sniper before he even fires a shot because of poor placement. Schultzz then drives a motorbike to my spawn and sits there waiting for the sniper to arrive.

I think we should put aside our differences and band together to burn schultzz. In the face
