Earlier today several allied division assaulted a small beach in Normandy, after initial axis logistical setbacks a proper defense was established "the wall of death" as it would be know to the few surviving American soldiers. The allied infantry failed to push the axis past the beach heads while the armor was merciously slaughtered by artillery and the Flak 88s positioned along the beach.


  When the dust cleared the allied casualties were enormous over 5000 men and vehicles were lost in the failed attack to only 500 axis losses. The beach landing was a complete disaster.
