New, very cool mod for HL2. WW2 FPS, best described as a mixture of Day of Defeat and Red Orchestra. Models, animations and sounds are awesome. No HUD and very realistic, graphics impress. Aiming system is unique and lots of fun in combat. Very recent release (Alpha 2), so content is limited, but there is potential for true greatness here.

it's fun, there's a couple of maps i dislike but overall it has a lot of potential. It's up to the devs to iron out a lot of kinks regarding how the iron sights and movement systems work out - at the moment most casual gamers will find them too clunky and irritating to work with. Additionally, submachine guns are are far too powerful....as in accurate.

Was checking this mod out earlier, looks amazing but I don't have HL2 only DoD:S and SDK base :/.

I can buy it for 5 bucks on steam. Are you absolutely sure this will allow me to play all mods that require hl2? (And not just the ones that require the free to dll SDK base)

You just need any game based on HL2 engine so TF2 or DoD:S for example.

Mod is nice, but still buggy and many weapons are imbalanced, ballistic isn't as good as Red Orchestra, next patch they'll add mg42 and bar, anyway, this is going to be the most realistic ww2 game in the known-world.

Aiming system is retarded. Also the gun selection is just too small for me to consider playing t. I'll come back to it when the aiming is more comparable to red orchestra, and it has way more guns.

It isnt a POS. It has lots of potential and actually good teamplay but its still a beta and for that its quite good.

Fine, in my opinion, it's a POS. Maybe not to you, but I personally don't like the game. Maybe later on when it's more complete I'll like it.
The things I like about it amount to climbing over low walls and boxes and the sway you get when walking/running/sprinting.

Lol imbalancded weapons? THis is not counter strike or battlefield 2. In real war there weren't balanced weapons lol. And aiming system is IMO one of the best ever, just need some time to adjust to it.
And remeber this is only beta, and this mod is created on source engine!!! For me it just pwn! Now it just need more weapons, and vechicles, but on source engine it will be hard...

imbalanced weapons i mean not realistic, aiming system is broken, a thompson is only effective by 20 feet, mp40 is balanced and effective(and it owns), kar98 and garand aren't, i red that they will fix this asap. rifles tend to aim a little bit left, and pistols are better than a normal rifle
. Hitboxes are just madness, it happens that you can miss one round aiming the chest of your opponent. And you can suppress with a single shot of kar98.
The main concept is wonderful, they just have to balance weapons, and this will be one of the best fps in ww2.
There is a shitload of other bugs, fortunately it's just an alpha.
