""" Geneva, 10 September 2008. The first beam in the Large Hadron Collider at CERN was successfully steered around the full 27 kilometres of the world’s most powerful particle accelerator at 10h28 this morning. This historic event marks a key moment in the transition from over two decades of preparation to a new era of scientific discovery. """

It was never going to be created. Besides which today was only the first test, it doesn't really start doing shit until October.

I like how there are people telling SCIENTISTS that a black hole will swallow the world. You would think that the hundreds of scientists would know what the fuck they are doing.....

However this thing takes a while to get up to speed, lets say 2 years? And the Mayan calender ends in 2010, anyone else seeing the connection?

no, the scientists predicted that there was a chance (albeit a small one) of creating a black hole.

In Ghost Recon the players first task was to prevent war between russia and georgia in south-ossetia in april 2008.
Well, they went off in time a little, but it was still pretty good Cheesy

No I don't see the connection.

the connection is that a black hole=dead world. Mayans predict dead world 2010 (technically they just stop, perhaps bored, or perhaps the Spaniards had conquered them idk. And the thing takes a while to get up to "catastrophy" phase.

Don't get me wrong I think this thing is cool, heard about it around 2-3 months ago.

Its like a 1 x 10 to the 30th power that a black hole forms ands kills us. ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. If it does happen its not worth worrying about since there exactly nothing you can do about it. At this point if were fated to die in some freakish accident nothing likely going to stop that from happening.

1x10^30?

That is 1000000000000000000000000000000000% chance of it happening, that is like 100% times a fuckload.

I think you mean neg 30.

1:10^30, that's really lower than low Wink
If if happens, would be a weird feeling, you know, civilizations wiping themselves out on the brink of space age, who knows how many came before us? Cheesy   Nah, same process happens everyday in the stratosphere, scientists said; It's not going to happen.

But what if they recreate the big bang? I know what the last words uttered would be! "It worked"!
