Just because they have them, does not mean we need to nerf them.

Just because they have them, does not mean we need to nerf them.

Of course that can be a reason. BARs are very powerful.

But they are also the main counter against a many axis things. Too expensive BARs was one of the main reasons while allies did so bad last war. Current BAR price is good.

allies can say the same thing abou grens + lmg , and this "every" rifleman is not true as i was one of the players.

i have 4 stickies on 2 squadsa , same had my friend. that gives us 4 squads of stickies . that is every?

i've played a game vs 10 schreck squads and didn't call omg nerf ! just because they had only schrecks and no LMG ,,, remember if you have something than you don't have something else ( in this case munition for sniper , hmg , mortar etc)

One of the biggest lopsidedness's we found was that bar's were over priced previously.  There was a reason that bars were a universal upgrade for the allies in vanilla COH.  for the allied infantry to compete with the axis infantry, they needed to be more numerous.  The troops themselves were built with this in mind.

I corrected that issue, and if you think bars need to go up in price, you should also probably be arguing that the lmg and mp40 and mp44 reductions should also go up.  Because to argue only one side shows a very biased discussion.

Agree with Apex and Salan.  I think the problem now is not that Bars are too cheap, its that the axix players got used to not having to fight against them so their tactics are all screwed up.  Its time for you guys to go back to the drawing board and realize you cant rush in volks or grens against bars...it just doesnt work and you will lose that battle.

Stop calling nerf and start thinking about how to counter it.

I think ampm summed it up once ..

the allied MG is their killing machine, the bar is their suppressor.

the axis lmg is their killing machine, the mg is their suppressor.

it works out that way really well as well, with more bar's on the field the allies suppress a lot more, but while suppressing, they kill a lot less, but then again in EIR, suppression trumps death.

axis players definitely need to adjust their play styles from before that's for sure.

I stopped watching 24 in.  You guys have bigger issues than BAR's and Stickies.

1. Do NOT rush tanks in, unsupported, where you KNOW 57mm's are at.  You lost at LEAST 2 PzIV's driving up the same road to the same AT guns that were still in the SAME SPOT.

2. Do NOT rush tanks in, EVER, against Riflemen that you KNOW HAVE STICKIES.  Jesus Christ, your Panther, PzIV, and StuH all got stickied from the SAME TWO RIFLE SQUADS.

3. Their armies are not 'full of BAR's and Stickies'.  It looks like they have a couple call-ins that have their Vet2 Rifles armed with BAR's/Stickies.  Anything that didn't have Vet didn't have upgrades.

EDIT:

Okay, for completion sake I'm finishing the replay and I must repeat #2.  I just watched another two PzIV's get Stickied from the same two Riflemen squads.  (Different from the two squads in #2.)  This second pair of Rifles also almost stickied your other Panther as well.

Basically, your day was ruined because of four Riflemen.  GG indeed.

Cowboy tank use is one of the biggest new player mistakes. I mean, no new player ever used them too cautiously. I even remember PAK88mm driving his Panther between the 3 houses in the town on RTC...

Another point, the new BAR is also one of the reasons why KCH and Storms need to go down in price a little, as pointed out in the balance thread.

Or you could remove the bar supression ability...

The suppession is more than half the point of the bar anyway.

Download the .rec file, place it in your My Documents/My Games/Company of Heroes/playback folder.  Then open up the launcher and enter in the game number in the box below the 'login' area.  Hit download, and you'll get the usual prompts ("Do you want to start EiR?")  Click yes, and CoH will start up.  Login to CoH, click 'Multiplayer', then click 'Game History' tab at the top.  Select the replay you want to watch, and you're good to go.
