Hello!

I'm looking for a team to join. If you are also looking for a partner, then we can make a 2v2 team. If you are a 2 man team wanting to experience some 3v3, then I can be that 3rd man. If you are 3v3 wanting to go to 4v4, then.... etc.... The bigger the team size the better, but I play for fun and don't mind whichever.

I've played CoH since it first came out, and have played about 200 - 300 or so online games, ranked and unranked. I have 2 accounts on Relic, both level 5 - 7 in all four factions. I am new to EIR mod, so it would be good if you can offer me some guidance on gameplay balance. I would prefer playing Axis (Terror), and I've signed up for this already. However I can sign up for something else with the other account, if you insist.

Welcome to the mod. So you know, you don't very often play with the same team. Sure, I have a few friends on axis and on allies that are my favorite to play with, but there is already a bit of a strain to find games (especially for axis), so don't expect to play much if you ar going to limit yourself like that. Just FYI. Anyway, welcome, hope you like it, many that play EiR can't stand normal CoH when they go back, myself included, so much blobbing and arty and spam and so little tactics there. Have fun with EiR.

Yeah, havent played vCoH a single time since I played my first game of EiR.

About your "request". Just play some games, use ventrilo, and you will find some people who you enjoy to play with. And, most importantly, dont be afraid to admit that you need help here and there. The community is usually extremely helpfull. Of course there are allways some people with whom you cant see eye to eye. Thats natural.

But this is really the only online community I know of, thats so international and intercultural and still very polite, calm, reasonable and helpfull.
Well, maybe its just because we all have to hang out on the same ventrilo server and it would take some people more 'cohones' to attack someone in speach than in writing Smiley
But whatever the reasons are, I can just tell you, youll enjoy it here, promise Smiley

Wellcome aboard

Steinmarder

PS

If you get totally annihilated in your first games, save the replay and watch closely how your enemy played. You will learn a lot from that. This is reaaaally different compared to vCoH gameplay. The style of play is faster and more tense than in vCoH and all the time you have to put into base management in vCoH is put into micro management and tactics here.
It's all about using the stuff you have on the field to 150% effectiveness.. and of course teamplay.

You can have unlimited amounts of EIR accounts tied to a single Relic On-line account...

Welcome mate, just ask me on vent if you have questions, lots of people do.

Also I can recommend the community help section and my Thread there.

I might do a little podcast about company build ups and tactic´s if there is a demand.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. Being buried alive writing reports for work at the moment. But still sneakily watched a couple of EIR shoutcasts on moddb to build a company that I think won't get slaughtered straight away, we'll see. Will check out ventrilo soon as I find a mic.

Welcome to the community.  Like most players, I really have not gone back to vCOH once I found this mod.  I hate base building micro!
