what does the axis and allied vet 3 machine gun get?

ive recently got a bunch of vet 2 axis hmgs and been very unimpressed, +15 sight is nice, but 33% suppression resistance is just useless. I honestly expected more for getting an mg to vet 2, im hoping vet 3 isnt as disappointing.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

If you think about it, 33% suppression resistance is more useful than 33% increased suppression dealt for the MG42. The MG42 pretty much suppress anything outside of Fire-Up troops. The suppression resistance would help out in a MG dual in open grounds allowing the MG42 to suppress and pin the .30 Cal without being suppressed itself. This is pretty rare but at least you get something from it. The suppression resistance is just a bonus really. Extra suppression for the MG42 would be moot on the other hand.

Of course though, the 15% sight range is really what the Vet 2 is about. The MG42's range is already higher than its sight range. Increasing the sight range would allow the MG42 to shoot farther without the need for a scout unit.

The .30 Cal on the other hand, gives very nice vet bonuses but it's pretty rare that .30 Cals live pass Vet 2 whereas most die before even reaching Vet 1.

Thats true of all mgs really, so they should have good vet...the axis mg is just lacking.

MG42 already outperforms an allied MG at basically all levels (save vet 3) if you want super MGs just go Terror/Heavy Support and then laugh to yourself.

that is what i have done, i am running a heavy support company.
where as other armies staples get vet and such, which makes the game somewhat more interesting.
When your playing a support company, its alot more difficult to get vet, and keep it. I was sort of expecting this to mean that the vet for these units would be very good...its crap. especially when you compare axis and allied vet.
has anyone else noticed this?

The axis HMG gets extra damage. 20% or 30%, as well as somrthing else, probably health. The allied HMG gets same thing that it gets at vet 2...thats all I remember.

The discrepency in vet has to do with the MG42 being better in the first place, so it doesnt need great vet - Although it gets pretty damn good vet... with its longer range, the expanded LOS it gets with vet is DAMN good

also, the vet of the allied HMG goes along with the vet of axis infantry - Axis infantry gain major suppression resistance, so the allied HMG gains better suppression dealing capabilities - Allied infantry gain no suppression resistance, and are already suppressed very very quickly by axis HMGs so while they could give it more suppression dealt it would be the equivilent of giving no vet bonus at all.

Vet is fine for these two items, if they change it so the axis HMG is more expensive than the allied HMG (similar to how the allied sniper is more expensive than the axis sniper) then you can talk about inequality in veterency

Allied HMG

Vet 1 - 0.8 received Accuracy Modifier - 20% received Accuracy
Vet 2 - 1.2 Weapon Accuracy - 20% increase accuracy
        - 7.5 received Suppression - 25% received suppression
Vet 3 - 1.2 Weapon Suppression - 20% Weapon suppression
        - 1.2 Weapon Damage - 20% weapon damage.

Best Vet ever: Jeep spam + vet 1 -> 15% harder to hit by everything.

Also there is never to much suppression. Terror nebels for example with the +20% suppresion really bring each enemy in the target area down - and they are stuck in the fire. IT s the difference between  red pinned and orange suppressed

He means the T1 that gives 20% suppression to all units. Heavy Support doesn't give any suppression at all.
