I'm dissapointed, with all the war movies coming up, that no one has mentioned Stalingrad. Best one in my opinion.

For every fan of WW2 Warmovies i recommend watching "Days of Glory" ("Tage des Ruhms" in german)
It's a pretty well made/solid WW2 movie about french colonialists in the war.
Can't directly mess with James Ryan (my opinion) but has good potential. (Nice fighting scene at the end).
Found it by accident.
Here's a trailer:
English -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5ipcD7mQR0
German -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35DmH9lb5rg
They are slightly different, for example, there's only a german version translated(dubbed) the rest has to watch it with english subtitles. Oh and in the german trailer you see more action at the end :p

You guys need to watch some freakin classics man...
The Sting, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - Robert Redford and Paul Newman in the roles of their lives, just epic shit man.
The Godfather I+II - The very
definition
of art. Watch them, period.
Some timeless Nior Classics - The Third Man, Citizen Kane not to mention Dr. Strangelove.
ALL Sergio Leone Films - Once Upon a Time in the West, The Good the Bad and the Ugly etc.
Some modern shit - Donnie D, Oldboy, Requiem for a Dream, Pi, Memento, A Scanner Darkly, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead etc.
And finally some honorable mentions:
Undead - Australian Horror flick, a MUST SEE.
Trouble Man - Epic.
- And just a general statement, not that u guys have crappy taste in movies... but yeah, most of you do, embarrasingly bad taste

Not sure about my favourite, but nobody's mentioned the Shawshank Redemption yet? Hard to say exactly what makes it such a good movie, but
damn
it is a good movie.
