Turn off your user account control and then try a game and you'll know the problem as i've had the same problem with vistas retarded security.

type it into the search function on vista and it will allow you an option to turn it off, basically its the retarded option implemented by vista to ask you if you want to continue every time you open anything.

Although you may not realise it, UAC is a very good bit of tech if a backdoor gets into your PC.

I heard that it's easy to bypass, anyway it's in 95% user fault that he gets trojan or other shit on his PC...

And Vista is not so bad I'm now writing from PC with XP, in 1 week I had on it 3 BSODs, on my home PC with Vista x64 in 8 months only 1 BSOD.

Just customize it and it's not so shitty OS, and ofcourse first thing what I did was turning off UAC.

Heh, I've never had a software caused BSOD. I had them pop up when my drives were failing or I let my vid card over heat, but never caused by the system itself.

Anyway, Vista needs ram. If you have the money to buy 4+ gigs then sure you can use it. If you have less than that you need to use XP. This is the only real difference between the systems, the rest is just unimportant fluff.

Yes if u use 32 bit verion of Vista with less then 4 gb ram it's waste of money.

But I'm using 64 bit version (and using mostly 64 bit version programs)  and I have 4 gb ram. And if u set support for dual core (default Vista uses 1 core to boot) My pc starts like 4x time faster then my bros PC with XP, it's not so bad, but as I said it needs customisation.

Customization or not, the windows 7 pre beta already performs better than vista sp1.

M$ did test some time ago, they asked pople to test new system (wich was Vista with changed logo  etc) and people said that it's better then XP. It's just that shitty Vista gossip, from PrO software forums, or people with suxy PCs. Ofcourse it's not ideal, but how XP started? First version of XP sucked 10x times more then first version of Vista.

That hate on Vista is just hate on M$, before everyone was bitching on XP, and that only PrO people uses Linux. It's stupid u say that u give easy money for M$, but what u did when u bought XP?

So wtf?

The "hate" on Vista is justified. It's an expensive piece of software, that gives very little advantage over its predecessor with an extreme increase in system requirements. Saying stuff like "Only people with slow computers hate Vista" is retarded. Yes, if XP runs extremely well on my system, while Vista can hardly even start, and both systems do exactly the same, I think that Vista is a waste of money. Not to mention loss of support for a lot of older software.

While XP started off badly and it took a few Service Packs to make it into a more stable system, it was still a huge step forward. It was much more stable than 98, even on its release date. It didn't seem like all they did is find ways to waste even more ram.

Since Microsoft already scrapped the project to build Windows 7 on a totally new design, you can expect that it will be another step on the same path. Increased requirements for some useless animations and prettier buttons.
