I got an idea: Invert the height levels on Crossroads!
Then I can saturate the chateau with recons!
Or the bombing dropping his load while flying through the building.

Recon run + Relic pathing > Building + Vet3 Officer.

Something tells me having him pick up dropped weapons in the first place will not only be rare, but very hard.
I'm not sure it would be that rare, lieutenants and captains seem to get them quite often.

There's a lot more lieutenants and captains than officers, however. I haven't seen an army with an officer in weeks...

If they could actually get vet, maybe it'll go up.
Officers are immensely useful, making you win every mortar fight, and if the enemy lacks Jeeps, you can also ninjaarty his support.

They die too fast and are uneconomical. Thats why you don't see them in much battles. The manpower cost is peanuts but the 240 munitions is a major turn off. Its far better to get a Nebelwerfer or a Stuka.

Officers make good sniper bait. Put an officer up and the allied sniper (if any) is bound to shoot at him.

I had this occasion when Brad shot at me with his sniper. My officer survived, turned around and fired 2 shots with his luger, instantly decapitating a full health sniper with the 2nd shot.

I think that was well worth the 240MP and 240 Munis heh.

the officer needs to be able to pick up weapons if it hopes to stay as a support unit, preferable i would replace the luger with an mp40 this can be done by edditing the .app files as well as the .ebs. i am just saying the officer needs a little boost to become a truly effective support unit.

It's possible.  The Officer has a 10% chance to critically kill an infantry unit in green health.  It's unlikely, but possible.

Not possible. It did not occur during this war. The battle files are lost already. The thing about officers is, they either insta-gib an infantry... or don't deal any damage at all. Quite silly imo.

yeah well, he's only got a pistol...if he only damaged troops it would be about the same as a Pak crewman, and that's REALLY lame

rofl AmPm, I bet that pissed the guy off

Officers are actually pretty tough, considering they start with 140hp....Now that I think about it, I've NEVER lost an officer to enemy bullets out of the 11 games or something so far.....he's died once from a lucky-ass strafing run (which also took out a vet 2 sniper) and getting run over with a strafing croc.

What a lot of people fail to realise is that BARs are fantastic at killing snipers and officers. If you are within short-medium range, you can be assured it will die in 2 or 3 volleys. It might even die in one volley (sniper only)

Remember that he affects flak guns as well.  Supervised 88 is a scary motherfucker.

But I'll see if its possible for him to pick up weapons.
Please no. We don’t want any more 5% Rmbos running around. If anything disable the picking up weapons on British lieutenants/captains and give them increased spotting capabilities instead.

If you want to buff the Wehrmacht officer give him a command aura like the Brits (maby different depending on doctrine)
