Discuss. Flamers are not used too much currently. I think its linked with their high cost. You get a single combat weapon on very weak squads which are easily supressed and focus fired. Both pios and engineers are easy to deal with, yet they pay the same to upgrade to flamers as grens for a LMG or rifles for bars? Doesnt make sense to me.

Almost all basic infantry defeats a flamer squad from both side 1on1 in open cover. So they are not some kind of overpowered wtfbbqomg weapon waiting to be spammed if we reduce it by 10 muns.

The decrease of 10 munitions would allow a clever player to save some munitions in anti infantry by using flamers smart. I think this would reward good play and flamer flanks.

Flamers were priced up because akranadas used them very efficiently Cheesy
Or thats part of the story. They are overpriced, but still factor in in conjunction with smoke they really shine, supressionfree, and without penalities.

I tend to agree with the overprice. Flamers cost 5 Mun less than a BAR. And don't come with fancy stuff like SF.

The platform for both flamer types is pretty weak in comparison to the base units. The engis in particular have the lowest suppression threshold in the game. The Pios are worse than Engis in HP.

Reduce prices by 10 Munitions.

As much as I love fire and would like to see flamethrowers reduced in cost, I must bring to your attention...

Cromwell command tank w/ Smoke barrage +American Flame engineers=low suppression, low received accuracy, zero damage output penalties.

All those units are dirt cheap in population and resources leaving plenty for AT and something a little heavier anti infantry wise
