I think the 1 shot uncloak is fair but nerfing the LOS is jus stupid.
It not really sniping cos the snipers take one shot then uncloak for 1-5 secs. Pak's are ment to be put pointing down a road with camouflage (Cloaked) and wait for tank to come.

any cloaking that is not in cover, i.e. woods, treeline etc is gay.. snipers, paks or SS walking thru a open field cloaking is boink, fix it or get rid of it...

so the base idea of cloaked ats wll be perfectly filled.

The paks already get circled in a stupid way when tanks gets too close so if u nerf LOS wats point of using a pak.

There's a middle ground between total realism and anything goes. Making troops use cover in order to use the cloak ability takes inspiration from real life, (the use of line-of-sight blocking cover to conceal oneself) whilst having potentially a useful game balance role.
Shrecks are for what happens when the tank gets close, the PAk is not meant to solo tanks. And the point is to force you to use scouting units.

There's a simply solution to all of this.. Suck less.
This is all funny to read over and over again, but seriously... Allies whining about Paks? 1 in 2 Allied players have artillery. This pretty much denies the use of Paks if you're not an idiot about it. Same as Nebelwerfers are equally effective against 57s (you can say what you want about nebels.. but the last game I played I got all 4 of my 57s decrewed or destroyed in the same manner.) Everyone or nearly everyone carries mortars now... another bane of ATGs most times mortar shells don't even mean to hit ATGs, but they do and they do a fine job.
You can't really say Paks are overpowered because of their ability to cloak. As a 'competent' player you should know which Lines of Fire a ATG can acquire and not be an idiot about putting yours in the opponents range.. or likewise emplacements.

u can say wht u want, the fact stays: axis r usin PAKs like 38mm sniper rifle
(against all static def.)
(btw: artilery has low accuracy, mostly hit nothin)

American and brittish infantry not seeing a gun, that's moving, 4 times the size of a man, manned by 3 other big guys(no one would put wimps on gun towing duty) at 4-5 metres range makes sence, but a guy being forced to keep a low profile and hide behind a camo net losing sightrange doesn't?
If you're bringing in realism arguments, please reconsider two things :
1) Realism goes both ways.
2) This is a strategy game with WW2 skins and models, not a realism simulator.
Reducing the LOS while cloaked would not affect you at all if you're using the pak with support, but it would get rid of paks being used as(very effective) scouting units and direct fire artilery... which you can't see.

It should definitely stay as is. Setting precedences like this is bad...especially since that means sniper, hetzer, jagd, falls, stormie would then also be called into question. If this mod wants to stick to vCOH, then stick to it...

I find it funny you're only mentioning Axis units when it comes down to discussing cloaked units. For this, I would believe you're a primarily Axis player, and therefore I doubt you've taken up playing, per say, the brits. Especially versus credible axis.
What I've suggested would only make sure no more direct pak artilery ensues, and lonesome pak killzones can't be formed. If you'd use them like you're supposed to right now, you'd not even feel the nerf - your supporting units would be quite credible spotters for it. And Aloha, Paks are not that much weaker than 57 mm's in terms of damage. With the "first strike" buff, it does the exact same damage as an AT gun, it has supperior accuracy and almost always penetrates it's target. On top of all that - you can't see the pak firing, and even a 'competent' player, as scyntos put it, can not see something that is invisible. I doubt anyone scans an area he's about to attack with careful mouse-hovering for around 10 minutes just to make sure there's no pak there, no matter HOW good they are or how much time they have - it's just unrealistic to do that.
Yet again, paks need a little nerfing, but not anything extreme. Most of the changes - single shot decloak, cloak only in light cover etc. would be a VERY strong nerf to the pak, and just reducing it's LOS while it's cloaked seems to be a much lighter nerf to it in my oppinion. Especially since the pak is meant to be supported anyways. As you yourself put it, aloha, just use some combined arms.
P.S. Jagd can't cloack.

howies, 25pdrs, priests, button, rifle nades, m10 crush, tetrarchs, RR accuracy, strafing runs, piat horde, calliope
And a list of things i find annoying about axis (playing as allies)
Mg42 suppression
, Zeal, shrek damage, pak cloaking, LMG damage, stukas, stuh, sniper rate, rep bunkers
Good time to make a bunch of polls to 'balance' these things...I mean, putting in some thought and effort to learn to deal with these is just way too hard. They'd better make it
easy
balanced so I can win!

You can see the shots coming from the FoW, and you can see the trail on the shot to tell the direction. Also this belief that Camo netting somehow reduces your sight lines is total garbage, I suggest you actually use a camo netting. They in no way reduce your sight lines.
