If I get shot and it's a gay medic fixing me up, he's not gonna be fondling my balls while he does it. You can't patch a chest wound and suck a cock at the same time.

Sorry duck, it talks about a lot of things. Unfortunately subtitles are in greek. You should search it in your native language if you find it interesting.
What i could say is, it talks about money, how that is portraited in our institutions today, what has that to do with today's problems and from that on it talks for alot of things.
We're so much bombarded by the media about the global crisis, that will affect us all. It has to do with that as it has to do with the role of our monetary system, for us capitalism countries.
But i can never do justice by giving a summary.
Killer remind me to get a loan one of these days :p

Shares in BAE and a money stash is all you need until the world ends in 2012.
Yes, yes, yes. I put the tin foil hat on when I saw the website name.

In english
Watch addendum (the second), that one's the most interesting imo.
It challenges your view on society, the current dominant economical principles, religion, etc.
I must say it opened my eyes even further, makes you realise some things about life, the age we live in and the possible future. It's about much much more than just economics (so if you're not keen on them, hang in there, it gets more interesting as it progresses)

Take note that the video, while having some valid points about monetary/fiscal policy & economics, do use them with an uncomfortable amount of liberty.

It has nothing to do with the internet (it was made to be played on theatres but wasnt accepted), a lot of things it discusses are viable sociological analysis/themes/criticisms to be teached in college. Leaving the political inclinations aside, the monetary system is what it is, debt destined to be perpetuated in all eternity.
We will always owe money, we will always hear politicians striving to fight "inflation"..There will always be crisis, and we will always blame our country's economy for not being strong enough, yet we will respond with "it is what it is".

"I'll believe anything on the internet"
You don't have to believe everything it sais obviously but at least be open to it so that you stop thinking the current liberal economic system is the only way life works. That's the importance of this film, it didn't make me a believer but it did help me comprehend the limits of today's system and the possible alternatives, however unlikely they may be.
The reason why I said watch the second is because the first has too much conspiracy bullshit to my liking, the second has much much less.

If you guys are interested in monetary policy, you may be interested in these documenties:
The Money Masters
". . .[A] 3 1/2 hour non-fiction, historical documentary that traces the origins of the political power structure."
In my opinion, it is the most comprehensive documentary available regarding monetary policy, banking, and its connection to politics and civilization in general. But don't take it from me, watch the video for yourself:
Video Link
Subjects addressed:
Origins of money and the modern banking system
Fractional reserve banking
Central banking and the Federal Reserve Banking systems
Relationship of money and debt in the modern banking system
Central banking's connection to politics
Alternative monetary policies to central banking
Money As Debt
"Paul Grignon's 47-minute animated presentation of "Money as Debt" tells in very simple and effective graphic terms what money is and how it is being created."
Basically, an abridge version of "The Money Master," but its very well done and explained in laymens terms.
In Debt We Trust
"IN DEBT WE TRUST shows how the mall replaced the factory as America's dominant economic engine and how big banks and credit card companies buy our Congress and drive us into what a former major bank economist calls modern serfdom."
Even though the USA is the setting of this documentary, it is a specific example of how modern banking and monetary policy is applied in order to manipulate politics and ensare people in a modern form of "indentured servitude."
These docutmentaries focus exclusively on money, banking, and debt, and therefore, do not include the many subjects other films, like Zeitgiest, address. I hope you enjoy them!
Oh, and there will be a quiz on Monday.

That venus project is all well a good, and it is true that the need for profit is slowing technological advances (not paralyzing, other wise out ipods would never get bigger hard drives). But I disagree with the no need for laws, not all crimes are because of money, people commit crimes for other reasons; love and hate for two.
Even in this Utopian world of a resource based economy, that wont stop a poor guy stabbing the man he found in his wife's bed...
Voting... yea that is something I am never gonna do anyway, no matter what party gets in it all the same, the same people make the decisions, just the face changes.
