I second this. Piats are a balance issue right now. They kill infantry not only on direct hits, the splash damage hurts them as well. When massed they become both AI and AI. They also frag mgs, etc its ridicolous

Just to clarify Piats are reflected as they are in the beta, so im intrigued about thsi sudden inbalance, spalsh damage and modifiers against infantry are the issue?
Can we get some exact numbers up pre and post beta around the piat, please don't link of refer to another website, if you want to influence somehting here post up a stats comparision here so we can look at it.
On the Piat only keep it focused and no random crap otherwise ill stop reading the thread.

i have seen no issue personally but if this is so, will you change it back, reduce splash or make it more pricey? Cuz personally...hell,, its kinda cool that the piat can do that now

I have no idea about the stats or that but i think it could just be due to the numbers involved, fire enough piats and they are bound to hit something. I actually have no idea if this could have worked before, i saw piat buff and just expected them to own so i spammed them and it worked .

Some of what you are using are commando Piats, I think the Sten guns that the other two squad members held did a lot of the damage.
There was a little splash damage done in the first game.
Going to watch the second one now.
Your opponents were lacking in their "crowd control" units.

Second replay: -4 piat squads deal ok damage to a PG squad in open ground no cover. -almost 0 damage to medium cover -and 0 damage to heavy cover. So while there is some splash damage given to the Piat, I would say that the blob factor was greater than the actual weapon's AI capability. As soon as you come up against some opponents that actually use HMG/Mortars well, then you'll be in for it Thank you for the replays and as always we will be keeping a close eye out if there continues to be a problem.

nope, captain stops suppress long enough for me to walk away and then i can call lt arty on it. Ill post more replays, u should make it easier to save them i cba going into my directory and uploading all teh time And dont commandos have 2 piats and 1 sten gunner?

Ya but you can kite the shrek blob. Much harder time kiting the piat blob, they have very short fire aim timer the same as RRs.

The way to kite Piat blobs with Ostwind is to remove the officer first and move whenever you see the piats firing. The trick is to keep your ostwind at maximum range.
Move your ostwind OUT of range, not into range. I've seen and experience this first hand myself so don't tell me that an ostwind dies in less than 1 barrage.
