My observation after using the new PIAT is....they almost don't miss if your tank is not moving. It's almost guaranteed that they will hit the vehicle if they are near medium range and the tank does not move.

The PIAT still misses by a mile if the vehicle moves. But if it doesn't move... well if it's anything less than a medium tank, it's going kaboom.

The way to kite Piat blobs with Ostwind is to remove the officer first and move whenever you see the piats firing. The trick is to keep your ostwind at maximum range.

Move your ostwind OUT of range, not into range. I've seen and experience this first hand myself so don't tell me that an ostwind dies in less than 1 barrage.

Wouldn't let it kill the officer, and if they do that just run behind a building or button, all it takes is 1 barrage to get off from the blob, so 1 second button is enough, and then if it still anoys you just wait for your US partner to get at guns. Not like many people have more then 2 osts max

It takes a PIAT 5 penetrating hits to kill a non skirted p4 and 6 penetrating hits to kill a skirted P4
(With the old skirts it used to take 14 penetrating hits).

But they do penetrate less often. PIATs are less affected than bazookas or et c. due to their nature of getting rear armor hits from the front, however.

I guess I'm not feeling the horrible imblance here. Piats were completely useless before the change, now they are useful. The only problem are PE who think they can spam light armor against blobs of AT infantry; it's like a huge blow to their systems when Brit infantry can actually do something againt armor and they deny it by continuing to spam their HTs and PIVs instead of ripping them to shreds with arty and their many cheap anti-crowd units.

(With the old skirts it used to take 14 penetrating hits).

With the old skirts, and the old PIATs (they were in effect together), the PIAT would almost never hit at long range :p.

But they do penetrate less often. PIATs are less affected than bazookas or et c. due to their nature of getting rear armor hits from the front, however.

Take note that PIATs do not get their penetration of 45% reduced against skirts at the moment. Bazookas, RRs, shrecks, get penetration reduced against the new skirts. the PIAT maintains 45%.

For example, the two upgraded falls in the 2nd game that tore the blob to shreds in seconds. The only thing that saved them from retreating was an arty call-in. PE just have to face a change in tactics. And as for the where...just one nebel would have cleaned out the blob. Possibly even less excuse then the PE.

Yeah...... 2 units that have an availabilty of 4, cost nearly 300mu, can be murdered by most US/Brit upgraded infantry  (smgs/bars/brens/riflenades + lt) are really the best counter to a blob..... Iīm not saying its a bad counter, it ainīt cheap, nor 100% effective, and nebels arenīt too good against moving targets neither.

but they're still anti crowd control. Vs sappers use assault grens, flame nades, piv ist, just gotta keep moving of course.

the thing is, you can assault piat blobs with vehicles, you just can't stop moving, and you also have to try and take out the captain/LT first, especailly lt's since they provide a 30% accuracy buff.

A nebel that will not work against a piat spam unless you get extremly lucky or the Brit player is really stupid...

I had a brit piat blob kill my Stug and I was the one attacking oh and my Stug did not fire one single shot maybe a bug but the Stug is suppose to be good VS inf..and yes I should have had Inf backing the Stug but on this occasion i could not..

Piats good at repairs good VS Inf and good VS Armor can someone tell me there weakness again..

PIATs have always been awesome vs infantry, tym. Even when they failed at everything, they still raped infantry ^^.

Piat blobs snipe HMGs. Sometimes you win with a HMG, but often my HMG lost out to one piat squad even, from inside a building, so I sincerely doubt that the HMG is a decent counter to the blob.

When iv tried to pin down a piat blob with a HMG in a building it takes 5-10 seconds to take affect and by that point they have PIAT sniped my guys out of the building which kinda sucks and should not happened. The funniest thing about it is that they was in open and still won against my HMG which is in heavy cover.
