) I have removed its requirement to purchase the wirblewind until it is back in working order.

isn't flakvierling better in hitting infantry and killing it than four barreled weak P4 thingy?

Because a forum post should be like a woman's skirt. Long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

Yeah, but since the Vierling didn't work, it just added to the PP cost of the Wirble with not extra benefit. Thus, the fix.

Is the wirble cost-effective?

Both are pure crap.
Flakvierling gets sniped by any AT weapon, has short range, has low damage. Its not mobile...its a worthless unit.
Wirbl is slightly better, it can move....

a flakvierling would prolly be best to protest against ur tanks when the ab get their planes in and also to guard flanks against infantry...even though at guns snipe them, it's not that bad. AT guns snipe all 3 mg bunkers as well, but at the the flak38 is turret based so schecks and rangers can't just "sneak" up on it.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

The flakvierling is terrible. No range, long build time, no durability, can be sniped, can't be moved. And costs some pop cap.
Ninja edit: The patch 2.4 Whirblewind does instant suppression. Suppression value is 0.75, should have been 0.075. Some beta testers spotted it a few days before the patch got released, didn't get fixed. At least this little change can be fixed fairly easily by our own infinitely more responsive dev team, provided they can get EiR to run with the new patch!
But if someone forgets to add in that extra 0, then yea, enjoy the new whirblewind for a few games if EiR gets running :p

My suggestion: Make it like brit emplacements, so it can unpack and gets deployed by the crew.

it's not an emplacement, it's a gun much like the 88.
the flak38 cost too much pop imo...
Flakverling 38 - 290 MP, 70 F, 6 pop
omg wtf? it can do damage vs tanks...if the tank was stupid enough to turn its ass.
It's kinda like a bofors, but less useful than bofors.
Bofors 40mm emplacement - 295 MP, 75 Mun, 4 pop
why should a bofors cost less pop than a flak38, especially seeing as the flak38 is a 20mm and the bofors 40mm. I think putting ti down to around 250 60 and 3/4 pop, treat it like a machinegun emplacement that can penetrate rear armor and light vehicles but its' stationary.

Wait, Tym, your reason that it can't be moved is that its a gun....what exactly are in the EMPLACEMENTS then? Turkey legs?
At least make sense man.
Make its range and LoS equal to Bofors, make it able to pack and unpack, make it build faster. Basically, it should be just like a Bofors emplacement.

I second on that.
Who would want to use a immobile FLAK thing that doesn't really work that well? It is only like a "Surprise fuckers" if a airborne drops ontop of it or something other than that it is dead meat.
The fourbarreled P4 thingy...nah I don't think it is THAT useful...I mean it sounds so awsome and SO powerful but...still it doesn't work...eh that way. It doesn't gib infantry as good as Ostwind does...So buying a wannabe ostwind fails imo xD

Have you ever.. you know, tried to run in with a rifle squad within a flakvierling's firing range? Doubt you'd live for more than 2-3 seconds with it. Make it able to pack/unpack and take less to build, change the popcap, but for god's sake, if you don't want to see entire infantry armies get instantly raped, do not buff it's LOS and range...

If I get shot and it's a gay medic fixing me up, he's not gonna be fondling my balls while he does it. You can't patch a chest wound and suck a cock at the same time.

the bofor does not rape infantry as much as the vierling, however. Vierling insta-rapes a squad in 2 seconds or less, bofors is lucky to snipe down 2 guys within 6 seconds.
