I just thought I might point out to anyone who hasn't updated their Nvidia Drivers for a while that GeForce Release 182 WHQL (released 4/4/2009) had this to say:
"Boosts performance in several 3D applications. The following are examples of improvements measured with Release 182 WHQL drivers vs. Release 181.22 WHQL drivers (results will vary depending on your GPU, system configuration, and game settings):
* Up to 8% performance increase in Fallout 3 at high resolution and AA.
* Up to 10% performance increase in F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin.
* Up to 9% performance increase in Half-Life 2 at high resolution with AA.
* Up to 11% performance increase in Left 4 Dead at high resolution with AA.
* Up to 10% performance increase in Race Driver: GRID at high resolution and AA.

So what's the point of buying new graphic cards, when after year of patches my gpu should have 200% more performance, lol.
Btw that split on GBR, and US verision of nvidia site, meh...

Rofl... that "should" be true
But yeah, don´t blindly believe the percentages they say it has.

If I get shot and it's a gay medic fixing me up, he's not gonna be fondling my balls while he does it. You can't patch a chest wound and suck a cock at the same time.

I don't think nvidia gave out those percentages, an external 'hardware reviewing' website did.

But if he had jumped into the future and found it out, then told us, we would know whether it's true, and unk would never be forced by us to jump into the future. Therefore, he would not find out and tell us whether it's true. Then he'd have to jump into the future and find it out....
Yay, we just trapped unknown into a grandfather's paradox!
Now to get akra suckered into it, and we can spam the forums FOREVER!

This is a common fallacy used by proponents of the same theory. Some testing was done over a feasible time period (the last eight to ten months of ATi drivers and Nvidia drivers were compared for performance). The problem is the total change over about a year is maybe 10% faster in all games, because they improve performance on a per-game basis. So if you wait three or four years, you'll have 30-40% faster, maybe, assuming the card is still supported. The problem? Three to four years is the jump between the 6800 GT and the gtx 280 - thousands of percent performance improvement.

We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

What is nice find, lol they write about performance improvements in every version, it's just propaganda shit. Like they write on GPu box benchmark points. If you look from long distance it's look that it's 4x time faster or something (then not Ultra Duper Turbo version), but the difrence is in real around 5% , they just compare it in so big scale.
