Ummm... Pak nerf? Do I hear correctly? Well this certainly shows how much say the community has in this mod. If I remember right there was a vote about the pak... Hmmm... Oh yes, here it is: http://forums.europeinruins.com/index.php?topic=8312.0

it used to be modeled with the solid rubber wheels, which made it more durable, but since then they have changed it to the wooden wheels, which tend to break and make it unmovable... kinda crappy imho.

Well for starters.. the veterancy tables were changed, stun assault grenades, Reloading bugs(Relic fuckup) on the Puma and Armored cars(yes this is relevant if there's a PE and Wehr player in game) Price reductions on Panthers.. price reductions on the Stuka and Nebelwerfer.. Even the fact that the Nebel doesn't suck now.

All of these things and more have contributed to the current change in the Pak38. Yes, I agree that it's a little beyond what I had in mind as a change, but I'm sure that's a temporary fix, as no one currently likes it. The fact is that we had quite a number of suggestions to correct the turnover rate of Americans and as far as our meeting was concerned, this is the best change that can be made for now.

And no this change does not incur a price reduction to the Pak gun, it's effectiveness is really high. Besides.. now you got all those cute and cuddly offmaps.

its effectiveness WAS nice, same with the ATGun which still is, now its crap

its crap now because it cant pivot and move around the map cloaked?  ..

I'd like to believe that, but I've seen no indication that it's currently breaking the game for axis. I'm sure everyone finds it highly annoying, but the fact remains that you can either learn to play with it(which isn't difficult at all) or you can play PE.

It's not affecting their damage bonus unless you forget to press cloak... if you're getting circle strafed you're already uncloaked... All it's really doing is making it a bitch to get away from infantry. And when does a 57mm ever escape from infantry? Almost never.

Please note that the 'vote' you are referring to was held a very long time ago, and while we do care a lot about community feedback we do not consider it binding in regards to some future design/gameplay decisions.

That being said, the current pak change is a test and can be reverted at any given time.

Now, we don't need 10 topics about the same unit, so please post all your pak related concerns in the balance forum's designated thread.
