I know we have a million of these, but here goes. Someone suggested that there is more arty, but it's spread out more ect.
Well what if every offensive off map you only get 1 use. That adds the tactical part since you only have one shot with it, and your opponent knows that once you use that one, you don't have anymore. Of course there is the idea of all the players playing the same doctrine, but there is still that tactical element of having one shot with the off map. But there should also be an alternate version of every off map that you can spend PPs on.
For example you have howie off map, well the alternate could be a howie smoke barrage.
Recon runs could be bought with PP, and you get a single use of bombing and strafing.
Defensive has rockets, they could also have flares since that fits in with defensive.
Terror has V1 and firestorm, hmm, not sure what alternatives you could do, maybe firestorm can do dud rockets that suppress all infantry that get caught, but does no damage, I've got not ideas for V1 haha, but I'm sure we could come up with things of this nature to make it more interesting.
It wouldn't be hard to come up with alternative off maps for the current arty.
