In nearly cementary (graves of 30th rifle regiment "30 pulk strzelcow kaniowskich" commanded by major Kaminski) I saw end of celebration of this day. I think this war was "must be", because without it probably more people will die from dictators hands. Of course it's sad that civilians were dying from allie air force and axis madness.  |

Actually, I think Id probably be speaking Japanese Germans winning the European theatre does not automatically equate to Japan winning the Pacific theatre =p. An interesting thing to note is that during the build up to WW II, there was great economical and military cooperation between China and Germany in the 1920s-1930s. However, the government then, was the Kuomintang which is the now present Republic Of China (or Taiwan). If you go and research, you'll find some pretty interesting information, including whole chinese divisions modelled almost exactly after the german military. I don't mind speaking Chinese + German |

Actually it might have. Had not the australian government insisted in the return of troops from the middle east, the invasion of australia might have eventuated as we would not have had sufficient forces to engage japanese forces in PNG.
The american involvment was suffice to say limited in this area, apart from guadacanal and the battle of the coral sea.
Having the germans winning in europe could of also forced an armistace or even capitulation by the allies.
Suffice to say the consequences of the failue in europe could have been dire.
Luckily we got our troops home the militia units sent to PNG initially kicked the japs arse and the americans realised the need to step up operations in the pacific.
