Allie's squad size seems to allways be larger for the allies. Hmm.... We all know there is an Allied bias in the game. (note. Some beg to differ, but hear me out). With INF blobbers it tends to and allied issue. You know why? AXIS INFANTRY... Come on. AXIS have no way to keep up, every AXIS squad is under manned. I'm not going to talk historical issue here. I want to talk Balance and FUN. I'm tired of the Ranger SPAM.. I dont want it to go away. I want to give a fair advantage to both sides. Since i mentioned Rangers.. 6 man squad unlimited anti-tank( bazookas, Tommy) Nothing can stand up to it. Its squad size makes it very survivalable especially with " Fire-UP" Axis on the other side of the coin... Knights cross 3 man squad. 1 use of anti-tank.
Yes i know of faction diffrences.. but hey. i could go on.. and on.. and on... since i dont like to bitch with out giveing a solution and yes one of the reasons i like playing EIR is becouse when i first started the squad size for rifleman were 5... To me this showed promise and someone was consideing this to be an issue... well that being said. SQUAD SIZE LETS MEASURE UP...

allies have superior units which is why it has the highest turnover of players right?
axis infantry is specialized. they are smaller but pack a much harder punch for the most part.

Far as i know Allied squads never changed size, it was the the number representing it's size that changed so it could still be 5 population. but pretty sure they were always 6 guys in a squad. I agree rangers are beastly. I had a squad of enemy rangers run into my two gren squads of 2XLMG and the rangers won, granted my stupid guys kept trying to get closer.
And Tym, while it is the same gun, the HMG version of the MG42 has an SF kit which allows it to fire more accurately over a greater range.-thats the difference

Allied infantry may have more men per squad, but have less health per man than axis infantry. Ranger's lose their AT capability if they have smg's when they lose two players, doesn't happen with scheck teams.
KCH have nearly 100 health, i think its like 90, and they're short range units. use an hmg or lmg with a kch squad backing up and they're nasty.
Thats the whole CoH game mechanic, allied size has more men per squad but less health, and axis have less men but more health and more punch to their weapons. The axis have better weapons overalla. I'll take your lmg's with 4 m en over my bar's with 6 men. It's like having mobile hmgs, oh wait, they are, they're the same gun and they're just carrying it around.

anyways, i have 4 sets of Rangers, all are Vet 2, but, they aint all that, you have to pick and choose your engagements... they burn really nice from pios with flamers, i tend to avoid them with my rangers.. mg42 Grens can eat them up nicely too... KCH hold their own very well for only be 3 dudes, i cant count how many times i have seen blobs of 3 or so KCH just run thru a .30 HMG fire without flinching, my rangers dont do that lol. Even volks with mp40s can be very hard to deal with if.. i have had a ranger squad with tommys fight a volks mp40 squad many times, and well, not exactly a easy win. heck last night i had a game, where it was towards the end of game and brought 3 rangers squads on, the axis player came on with maybe 2 mg42 grens, maybe volks with mp40s and some regular rifle and well, i didnt exactly own them, i got beat...
Rifleman with Bars are ok, but mg42 grens again own them, if i can get the suppress in time they work well, suppress and Grenande the dudes on the ground, but that doesnt always work, and rifleman die like flies being swat at with a fly swatter...
ya, so ok.

Meh, Airborne dont get any cool guns like say a fg42... American airborne is cool with RR, but you have to be a micro king and know what your doing, same with rangers without thompson, kch, mp40s, mp44s etc will eat them alive..
which, leads me to one of my biggest complaints of game, the ROF of the Carbine and Garand on standard us infantry... ugggh.

Wait what?
We have a tradition in this mod not to touch too many vCOH stats, that includes messing with stat changes. Axis squads are smaller in size but usually tougher per man so I don't understand why you'd want us to change that..

true, mp44 gren arent that bad... but the falls with fg42 are different, at least in my games..

I mean seriously, did you think it over at least once?
6 men KCH squads? Do you imagine the infinite cries of OP? Those guys are almost unsuppresable, have an armor type that makes them only crit out to death at 4 hp, and they have the best short-ranged weapon in the game. They also get assault on all doctrines - do you imagine 6 men throwing assault nades? SERIOUSLY?!

i argree with griggc, i want the PIAT commandos to have 2 piat guys, and 50 weaponless guys, so i can still use the piats after the 1st battle i (or griggc) leth them face.
