For the first time ever I have a unit on the vet table, and earlier today two people left a game I joined through fear of the power of my Calliope.
Finally, I have become a leet gamer.
I knew it would happen one day, but I never realised how great it is to be feared. I have 'made it' and would like to thank those that guided me along the way...
Apex - You taught me how to think for EIR. Your tutelage was what made me an occasional winner, rather than a rare winner.
Saint - Armoured legend of the old EIR taught me how important micro-managing was, without which my Calli could never have made it this far.
EIRRMod and fldash - Without whom none of this could be possible.
Nevyan - For yelling at me when I cocked up, and reminding me to stay vigilant, even when it seems like it's going well.
DuckOfDoom - For showing me how much difference vet can make between a good unit, and an excellent unit.
Alan Turing - For inventing the computer.
Thomas T. Goldsmith - Inventing the first video game.
...and so on and so forth until I've bored you all to tears and you go off to read an acceptance speech by George Clooney or some other smug Hollywood type.
Pretty pleased though.
