Dear Community,
As you are well aware when EIRR started our design and plan was to effect a single touch point for all game related activities, which has resulted in the launcher we all currently use.
As and initial proof of concept it has performed very well, and we have plans to effect more effective graphics as well as user interaction.
The road we took has not always been easy, aside from developing a game that you are showing us you enjoy and have some dedicated passion for, we have faced external pressure from individuals that seek to disrupt our community and what we are trying to achieve.
The past is firmly behind us and relations with third parties have improved, but we still find certain individuals who seek/think that your gaming experience should be disrupted and eroded based on their own ideas and principles. We will continue to be resolute in our position on this and again thank you all personally for your continued commitment to the mod.
Beyond this unpleasant experience we have also found that the server we use to support the game has been found wanting. This side of the mod is always the most difficult, as funds are not easy to come by and top end servers are very expensive.
Its a reality that we don't have allot of money to throw at the issue as most of you will be aware allot of the development team are working professionals/students who have families and real life commitments. We would love to be able to just throw money at the situation and also buy peoples time and resources, but we want to be responsible with our funds and also not foolishly waste what donations we recieve.
As such we are currently doing a proof of concept on a new server which we believe will allow us to meet our resource requirements and thus improve your gaming experiance.
Suffice to say we face allot of obstacles in delivering this mod to you, and its a sad reality that some of them are not generated by simple coding issues, which we clearly have no issue with thanks to our brilliant coders.
With that in mind we hope to see the new server in place soon and thus continue to see the mod propser.

If I had a checking account I'd give five bucks to help improve the server for everybody, I spend a lot of my free time playing EiR and it'd only be fair to make people benefit for their hard work.
Keep up the relatively prompt job of updates, guys, it's been going pretty rapidly - can't wait for war map and a few more balance fixes!

guys, i really think it would help if you had a goal to date by the donate button so we can see what we need to do in order to help you out, for the moment, we just dont know and i think that uncertainty makes some people a lil nervous. like my pr clan, look on the right. http://www.hoggamingclan.com/news.phpwe have 10 times the people in this community visit the site than ours, money shouldn't be an issue but knowing what you need from us will make things easier for us to donate. I know I'm a lil apprehensive because of it. I don't mind donating, i really enjoy the mod and would love to help i just dont know what you need. |

you probably have already thought of this idea but il just point it out just in case but you could try some advertising. As in advertise other games or just some products on this website but charge for the advertisements. i know some adverts are annoying and put people off but just a few little ones may help.

Hmm I didn't notice, but yeah, you guys have absolutely no advertising on the site, and that's just absurd! i dont think anyone would really care if they had to scroll past an add or two if it is helping you guys pay for whatever.

Another idea, but give people who donate "supporter" tags in their name. I mean, it won't really make people donate more i dont think, but it might help. i know as soon as i get my computer... if the fuckers at the post office didnt steal it, im going to donate some more.
