This thread is for anyone who thinks ToV units are gong to make EIRR explode and be more unplayable then super brit emplacements and all piat sapper opening.

The big complaint is the Stag hound. It's almost as if no other ToV units exist. Now I haven't played brits with the staghound. does it give the CCT buffs or is it just a whole new unit? if anything I think it's the hotchkiss and stug replacement that im worried about.

and honestly, the most scary thing about the hellcat is it doesn't misfire XD

but no, this thread is like a stress ball, for those of you who are trying to derail every thread about ToV units, just come here and let it out.

The hellcat is actually slower & I think it has less health and deals less penetration than the M10 :/.
The staghound doesn't give CCT like bonuses and isn't as good as the T17 since it does not get the same veterancy.

It's only the T17 and Geschutzwagen that you could be rightfully worried about.
Even so, they'll be priced accordingly and/or tweaked. We will make them work.

everything i heard about the hellcat before ToV was that is was supposed to be a lighter armored faster version of the m10.

Relic did something wrong. it's useless. Bet some tables got switched or something but everyone is making a big fuss over the T17 that no one noticed.

The only thing good about the hellcat is that it cloaks and you cant decloak it.
Ive once accumulated about 7 hellcats in one game, sat them cloaked on the edge of the map, then when i knew the guy's base was emptied, i raced in and destroyed his HQ.

Mind you, his army was practically tripping over the Hellcats this whole time they were cloaked. Smiley

The Staghound is a crappy version of an M8 placed near the end of the British tech tree. It's accuracy vs. infantry is terrible and it is not heavy enough to take on any tank.

The Kangaroo Carrier is the British version of the clown car. It can carry 16 men in 4 slots and it withstands a great amount of punishment. It is also VERY cheap in vCoH (240mp 10fuel)

The scariest thing about the M18 Hellcat is it's ambush bonuses. A single ambushing Hellcat can kill a Panther faster than 2 AT guns with AP rounds can. That is how ridiculous its ambush powers are.

The T17 is powerful and so is the Gessy.

The Hotchkiss is a piece of shit in vCoH, but in EIRR I think it will do much better. It can take punishment from light armored cars and serves as a link between them and normal tanks.

The Wehr Shwimmwagon will be popular because it can drive in reverse, fight Jeeps on equal ground, and take more punishment than a Motorcycle though it sacrifices speed.

Hellcat will likely not be able to cloak.

Hellcat will likely not be able to cloak.

so i guess you would plan on adjusting its speed and penetration numbers etc ?

Can't have a high-cost, popcap intense unit have cloak, now can we?
Otherwise the axis might exclaim "OP" and face us to the truth there's nothing like that, and especialy not on a non-popcap-intense unit on their side, of course.
Surely, that is why.

We're thinking about stormtrooper cloak on the Hellcat. Some think its only fair that allies get a tank that can roll around while cloaked.

Stormtrooper cloak + improved blitzkrieg is the ONLY fair way. Greyhound cost maximum, too.

Guys. We've fixed ToV units. They're not going to be Relic's version.

And the Hellcat has the same health as the M10, and the same probability to miss-fire. Relic reduced the frequency of miss-fire in 2.500. It has the same 'wind-up' time on the main weapon which causes the missfire bug. Removing the 'wind-up' causes animation issues, where the bullet flies a good 2 seconds before the gun makes the noise and animates.

The Staghound will not be a Command Vehicle like the Cromwell Command Tank, but it will be a Heavy Armoured Car, and we've fixed the bug that disabled Soldier Armour as a target (the weapon would not fire on them automatically or if told to.) The units will NOT be replacements/options; they will be available alongside the units that they switch with in Retail.

I'll run over the stat changes:
-Hellcat cloak removed, might become Doctrined later. It will be detectable at the same radius as the Hetzer.
-Hellcat can upgrade with Hawkins Mine Drop. These work like they do in Panzerkrieg.
-Units in a Kangaroo when it dies have a VERY low chance of surviving. This is because the Kangaroo is very hard to kill; you'll have plenty of time to ungarrison before it explodes, but if your micro is piss-poor you will be penalized.
-Geschutzwagen uses same weapon as the Marder III.
-Staghound .50cal now has Soldier Armour Target enabled.

That's it. T17 remains unchanged because the way EiR is played is different compared to Retail, and so it will probably actually be quite underpowered.

No. It's a Marder III.
I said it uses the same weapon, not did the same damage.

Now, after me saying that, you may say 'what's it's advantage over the Marder?'
Well, first off, it's a Marder for the Wehrmacht. Secondly, it has Rapid Fire. Thirdly, a Machine Gun, which won't be an upgrade but it will come on it. Lastly, it's faster. Much faster. And accelerates/decelerates even faster than a Hotchkiss.
