Ok, so I get the if you play with noobs, and you lose things, you have a chance at getting them back.  But if you're stomping someone, you should not get your shit back.  Pq, who is rank six, played against me and illegal.  We were low enough below them to get 2 TP points.  I didn't lose any ranked units, but illegal lost a rank 3 volks, and a rank 2 stug.  He got nothing back.  Pq, lost his rank 3 quad, which can I tell you was fucking hard to kill.  My pak missed 3 shots in a row at point blank range, and finally i gave my piv up to kill it.  and he gets it back after the game,  wtf is with that?  If he is stupid enough to rush into my spawn, hit a mine, then get killed, why does he get his shit back?

Looks like there's an advantage to being high ranked, go figure.

can't lose vet?  Does that negate the purpose of pps then?  "you have to decide between getting rank, getting a new ability/vehicle/item, or getting arty".  without the fear of losing vetted units, I guess its just more arty.

Well.. if you were high ranked I doubt you'd see this as an issue.

The fact he got the commander advantage at ALL means he was playing with someone below his skill rank.

This takes his side into account, not yours.

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

 Yeah I was his partner and I'm only rank 2. That's why he got the reroll.

 Cheers

yeah, reroll is a bit flawed here. It's meant to be a back-up in case your newb teammate fails you and causes you to lose a good vetted unit. It's not meant to allow (or at least, it really shouldn't be) you to go on suicide vet charges.

Is Akranadas in this thread? Fucker can't stop bragging about his "waifu taldeer" and cosplaying in an eldar farseer costume while shouting "Flithy monkeighs!" interspaced with random eldar gibberish.

1 in 10, 2 in 10 or 3 in 10 chance or retaining that 'vet' unit.

Noone in their right mind would 'suicide' their vet units with those odds.

it was that one unit i say so what.  A lot of people suicide their units to get that one thing they feel is important.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

@eirr: read op kthx

@tym: It was a vet 3 unit that suicided, presumably killing a pak, using up a mine, killing other stuff (because that's what vet 3 units do), and requiring the sacrifice of a PIV to kill. That's a lot of resources spent to trying to kill this thing and in the end it doesn't even affect anything.
