I prefer yellow/blue/red. Else my head will explode. Though i can see that it might be an advantage to have player colours.

Its key to play with team colours, you need to know at a glance if one side of the map is being double/triple teamed.

I don't play with player colors because I use my skinpack which nixes vehicle markers anyway and don't like the massive primary color orgy of unit symbology using all of those colors.

I just pay good attention to the units, even if it is a bit harder, so that every so often I can sit back and relax and enjoy how cool the game looks (and lose a nebelwerfer).

We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

What i especially don't like about player colours is the fact that your teammate can have red or something. I mean, people connect red to enemies, so it would be better if teams had one colour scheme.
Enemies: Red/Orange/Dark Red/Black

Teammates: Yellow/Blue/Dark yellow/white

Would be better imo.

I use the standard allies = yellow, enemies = red colour set.

It's just easier that way :S.

I used to play without team colours but re-enabled it a while back because it really is kind of useful to be able to tell where your opponents are focussing, which one of your team-mates is doing what, etc.

I never use to use team colors, i hated the different colors, but I use em now and would never go back.  So much easier to see how many people are on one side of the map and where a real attack is vrs a lone wolfer.

I don't see the need for anything other than the three colour system to be honest.

i use them, same reason everyone else does. lets you know where things are going bad.

why do people hate on zoom mod so much? i never understood why zooming out was so limited in vcoh, with zoom mod i can actually see exactly where my firing arcs are. But thank god they let you zoom in so close you can see the digital tears on your mens face when they lose a comrade.

This was my problem, really. I'm just not used to it at all, and don't want to bother adjusting, even if it would theoretically help my game. I adjust to increased sensitivity in FPS games, but don't want to bother with my casual RTS to adjust my colors to increase skillz or something.

As for zoom mod, I don't like it for the same reason. Sure it's cool to zoom out, but it feels like I'm not playing the same CoH or EiR anymore, even if it does give me more situational awareness on all but the minutest of details (nades et c.)

i don't play zoomed out the whole time, i just zoom out to see how well my firing arcs are, then i bring it in about 2 notches towards normal so i can see everything.
