Can somebody give me info on 4 different doctrine abilities..of the royal engineers T2s

1. Covering fire:Bren guns deal double suppression
How does this work exactly considering brens don't suppress anyway.. can somebody give me some stats and comparisons on this..

2.Petard Rounds:Obviously unlocks the AVRE
but can anybody tell me how often it can fire and if its same damage and what not as vanilla

3.75mm Upgun on churchhill
how much more damage, penetration, splash etc. it gets from this

4. Boy's AT Rifle
Is it possible to get official stats of how its going to be exactly in game..
and if it can be fired on the move, how many each tommy squad can have and what the cost is..

Thank you in advance!  Smiley

Bren guns do suppress, just not quickly. So it doubles that suppression rate.

AVRE does the same damage, fires every 135 seconds last I checked it.

75mm upgun, makes the Churchill use the same gun as the Sherman, making it able to kill stuff.

Boy's AT Rifle, dunno, but its only good for light vehicles.

Whats the bren guns suppression rate without the ability?

And giving the churchhill same gun as sherman gives it the exact same damage as an un-upgunned M4?

1. IIRC, that covers all Bren guns, including those on the Bren Gun MMG, which does do a decent job of suppressing already.  Could be wrong though.

2. If the latest price list is correct, the cooldown for the attack is 135 seconds.  Other than that, it acts the same as vanilla.

3. It fires faster, its AoE is much better, penetration is upped against Axis tanks by ~30%.  Standard Churchill has a .406 modifier vs. the PzIV, 75mm version has a .542 modifier.

4. No, it isn't possible yet.

According to CoHstats...

0.0005 At Long range.

0.001 At Medium range.

0.001 At Close range.

Not sure if anything else affects those stats, but at a glance, those suppression rates dont look too happy, even if they were doubled.

However, if something else affects those stats that i overlooked, then the doubling could be indeed worth it.

yeah i was going to say, ive never had anything suppressed because of my bren guns, so unless it's going to make my bren suppress as well as LMG42s, i see no point in it =P

Well it affects the suppression on the Bren gun, and when you purchase a Bren upgrade you acttually get 2 brens, so Essentially you have the suppression of an LMG42. It's not fantastic but considering the factions are not mirrors it gives your infantry the ability to suppress

Look up the stats on the LMG 42 and you'll see that 2X brens with that doctrine pick are roughly equal to an LMG42.

You could also keep in mind that relic never designed brits to deliver Mobile Suppression unless it was massed bren carriers

i've suppressed with brens but you have to have like 2 or 3 brens firing at once or have a bar around (not on suppression fire)
