As you all fellow eirers know, eir is infested with constant afkers who just won't RFS in launcher.

Of course, there is a handy tool called vent but majority of players don't use it

So, I propose adding a similar alert sound like RFS and RTL when the game is full.

It won't solve all afk problems but will definitely lessen waiting time on some games.

u could also mark all players in the lobby in transparency if they didnt join a game within 5 min so u know the guys who are actually on or afk in the lobby.

the sound if the game is full is a very good idea

A configurable "play x sound file when game is full" would be sick. I often go play RO2 or WOT while i'm waiting for games to fill, so there's more stuff going on than the little "ding" in the background.

honestly people just need to get on vent, sooooo retarded. i do the same, i get on vent, tell people in launcher to page/yell at me when games full, and i put the same in my comment on vent. works like a charm, plus if a maps loading or something like that ill check the launcher too.

Is it possible to implement a feature similar to CoHO's in which the launcher makes itself the primary window when everyone is RTL?

CoHO would auto-switch (for lack of a better term) back whenever the game was about to start, which was great because you could alt-tab and do other things while waiting for the game, and not have to keep checking back, or worrying that the game had started without your knowing.

Eh, that would be unpleasant. Certain games, like RO, enjoy their fullscreen and are NOT eager to give that real estate up without hanging your system. Not to mention I DESPISE my computer doing stuff without me telling it to do so.

Don't get involved with 'unforgiving' games or programs while waiting on a game? Or if you choose to do so, know the 'risk' of being automatically alt-tabbed is there? Play in windowed mode, maybe?

A little sound or jingle won't really be enough, because it'd be too easy to miss if you're playing a game, listening to music, AFK for a little bit, etc. I don't want to have to wait an extra twenty minutes to start a game because you were watching porn and didn't realize the game was full.

If you're going to implement a notification system, make it one that's actually useful and effective, and not easily missed.

Which is exactly what I proposed. If I can set a user-customizable alert, who says it's easily missed? If I make it a 15 second clip from a song, you're damn right I'll realize what's going on. No need to add anything intrusive.

And what if you're AFK for that short sound byte? Or someone customizes it to be something ineffective? Or someone has their headphones off while they wait? Then there's no reason to even have implemented the feature in the first place.
Besides launcher already has some sound-cues, and they're clearly not working.

It's really not that much to ask that you don't go raiding in WoW or whatever while waiting for a game.

Lol, there's a difference between a 2-3 hour raid and playing games with 1-10 minute lifespans.
