flamers actually do most of their damage by cover, green cover or garrison cover give like 1.5x bonuses to damage and accuracy, so its pretty crazy.
To expand on that, they do a LOT LESS damage if you go on to roads (red cover).
Basically against flames, The Higher the cover the worse of you are, the lower the cover the more burning you can take Cheesy

aren't AB more susceptible to flames though?

No, just the opposite, AB is the toughest infantry in the game against all weapons, including flamers.

AB is just as susceptible for flames as all infantry.

You just confirmed what I said tym.   Airborne has 70hp*6=420 hp in the entire squad and no damage penalties vs flame.  Therefore its the toughest infantry unit in the game, against flamers and all weapons.

Commandos are also 70hp each/6 men, so commandos are as tough as airborne against flamers.  However they dont have the dodge bonus, so they are not as tough against other weapons.

Rifles dont get damage penalties vs flame either and they're 55 each. Just because they don't get damage penalties doesn't mean that they're so tough against flames.

What about Grens at 80 hp a man? and folks at 60 hp a man? Luftwafe at 55 per man? All have the same armor as Airborne. If anything, Grens are tougher to kill than Airbrone, they get 10 more HP.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Anyway.

The xp for airborne is fine, they may have better armour then the others, but they are nowhere near as effective at downing men as the rest of that list. (unless you get nades off).

Everyone knows that their strength is AT, and they outperform everyone else with it.

Riflemen (1.6)
Panzer Grenadiers (1.6)

Hold on a second.
Why do riflemen have the same xp modifier as pgrens?
Something is fishy.

Yeah but it usually takes twice as many AB (4 squads) or twice as many shots, plus you can see them coming!

...

Are you listening to yourself?

You just said that a unit with less hp is as tough as a unit with more hp.

Grens have 80 hp a man, but there are only 4 of them, while airborne is a 6 man squad.     Total squad hp of airborne is 6*70=420 hp.  No other infantry squad in the game bar commandos and stormtroopers come close.   Commandos have slightly less hp, but inferior armor type versus most other weapons, while storms have 380 hp total but no airborne dodge bonus.
