I gave alot of thought about emplacements for british emplacements and came up with this 1 simple change for them. A cloak option with hold fire, (they have a camo net over the 17 pdr) this way they have a chance to be used before they are spotted and obliterated. No ambush bonus needed just let it be invisable until a tank wonders in. Not like it will be OP either as once it has fired and possibly killed a tank i can be killed just like usual.

mmm. As long as it doesnt apply to the MG emplacement it seems fair. I say it need a slight 20-30 manpower increase though.

Well, i wasn't thinking about the mg emplacement since that just a mirror of the mg bunker (axis) and hmg emplacement for american (ally)

and i would accept a 20-30 manpower increase for it

mg emplacement is better than both because of higher range. I"ll take the brit mg emplacement over both the axis and american bunker even if it came at same price 2 for 1

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Rather have the Axis Mg actually, the ability to move it is god like. And the fact it deals suppresion is epic Smiley
But mm, this is an intresting point, ATG one should be ok, MAYBE the bofor? The 25 pounder defo shouldn't its an arty piece right at the back. If you need camo on that, then you're doing something wrong...
Also, would want it so I could cloak more then once? And can it cloak while built?

I think emplacement cloak should take about 30 seconds to recloak once it fires.

Recloak would be pointless with them in their current state lol...

Only time a recloak would be any good is if you surprise one-shotted an enemy vehicle while they had no LOS on you and had no time to react and lock in on the location of what killed it.

Otherwise, every mortar, stuka, nebel, so on and so forth will be locking on to the location of the 17 pounder and destroy it in record time, visible or not.

The best your gonna get from cloak is a one time element of surprise.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

just allow the 17pnder to be pushable and emplacements buildable from all british infantry.

Treat the emplacement as units going into a trench, but instead of units, its an AT gun.

The same should be done with a bofors, due to the size of the weapon some sort of lock down to fire should be required (when outside of emplacement), this would be the optimal solution i was just trying to find a compromise to be honest.

I agree. Our system is nice but i think being able to push it on but it not being able to fire until set up would be optimal.

How would that in any way be different Tym? It would still need to setup.

What is being suggested is treating the 17pdr just like any other ATG. Basically, a mobile 88.

See the only difference between the 6pnder and the 17pnder is penetration and reload, so i would have no qualms whatsoever about just upright replacing the 6pnder entirely with the 17pnder.

At least then it would get more use.

ditto, i suggested that before the put in the 6pdr it would make the brits unique and make turning it into an emplacement a doc ability.

Basically, you'd have your normal, 17 pdr, mortar and vickers and you can turn it into an emplacement thru doc ability, which would increase their range as well, so of course it'd be more susceptible to at fire and fire but less so against infantry.

Yeah, I really like that idea. Would make for a great RE ability.

Yup, that's who i'd put it with. Maybe add it onto Hull Down or Replace fortified emplacements since that's never worked.
