i think its funny, i feel like it was kind of settled (among most of the community) that the m18 would be nice if it was reduced in pop and kept the same, then relic comes in and totally changes the unit. Makes no sense, they made it into an m10 with a shitty ambush instead of well, doing any number of other things.

It would be like if the t17 underpreformed, so they gave it the MG on top, and let it drop mines like an m8!

Make M18s better than hellcats and you see me running a 9 Hellcat company with HVAPs and kiting every tank but panthers, jagds, KTs and Hetzers. Trolololo 46 sight range gives me the love of kiting with that speed I can kite vehicles with higher than 45 range because it runs out of range before they aim their guns and fire.

Yeah, still of the opinion that Hellcats should be for ambushing or rapid flanking.

The speed buff may allow them to do that, but their ambush is still sucky as hell against anything but PIV's and Hetzers in the tank department.

I'm pushing for a penetration buff as it wouldn't make it any more effective against PE light vehicles at all, just mean it can do something to Wher armour instead of bouncing away at them ambush or not.

Leaving the damage at 50% would be ideal, or even perhaps reduce it to 25% as long as it penetrates better than it currently does. I mean, really, 32% penetration chance against a Panther after you've gone through the effort of setting up your ambush.

Or, just make HVAP actually work for it.
