With a 30 percent chance to penetrate on the marder, so a total of one penetrated, two bounced shots per volley ( 270 total), the marders would need 6 volleys to kill a jagdpanther. The jagdpanther would need significantly more shots to kill 3 marders, and would lose horribly.

Everyone seems to have missed the elephant in the room when comparing a jagd to 3 marders or a panther which is that you can move a pather or 3 marders (admittedly only one at a time) while attacking tank/s that are trying to flank you, thus dealing damage and defeating the flank, while you CANNOT do this with a turretless Jagd.

How often do you actually see a well microd Panther get flanked? Hell, even my KTs didn't get flanked all that much if they're well microd without engine damage. Having a turret makes executing a flank that much more difficult because you can force the turret to turn fast enough to engage the flanking tanks, which for a heavy tank is normally enough to defeat the flank if combined with some other creative micro, most of which is documented in the Panther Ace Guide.

Pretty much the only thing I think the Jagd outperforms comparable options for is the ability to assfuck AT guns, which is a thing PE otherwise has big problems with.

The turret situation is in itself is the biggest reason why the Panther is a better all round investment than a Jagd despite a bunch of smallish stat advantages the Jagd has (ignoring the big health and armour difference here >.> ).

Yeah, because Defensive Panthers can´t have Omniscience to shoot and kite at max range or Fatherland Defense that increases all your unit´s HP by 20, neither Blitzrkieg Tigers/TA/Panthers can get Longer Barrels, Smoke Canister, Repair Specialisation, HEAT Rounds, Conviction or German Engineering, not even the Terror doctrine has Intensity (to make those mounted hmgs nasty at close range), German Steel or Beast of Burden.

/Sarcasm.

Oh wait, all the axis doctrines have ways to buff all your tanks while there´s only 1 that can do that with the allies you fucking biased cunt.
