What the crap, calliope costing 10 PP?! Thats a games worth of PP if playing an equal opponent!
Pershings costing 8 PP and Tigers costing 8 PP for those big KILL ME tanks? Already investing enough PP and manpower and fuel to get one and we have to pay a crap load of PP too? Elite infy are more cost effective and cost 0 PP why is this? can we please change this.. make Tigers, pershings 1 in reserve..

EDIT: and calliopes, priests, hummels 1 in reserve too

EDIT EDIT:if you don't remove PP costs then possibly make them cost 0 resources....because as it is now it costs half of a battallions fuel without advantages to get these heavy tanks and arty units..all just my opinion though so..  Wink

I don't see why not, the game would be more fun this way and you would see these units more. It's not like you don't have a shitload of stuff to spend PP's on anyways. Take this completely random example, let's say we have wehrmacht player and his nickname is Jazlizard and he wants to buy oversupply 4 mgs for his doomfort, jesus christ thats like 10 pps and way better than a lousy tiger. Pricey crap powerinflated units anyone ?

well calliope's rarely die since they can move as fast as most tanks. they are usually in and out of the battle quickly and get away if hunted. however, id much rather spend some more manpower on a tiger than spend pps since i could risk it more (it wouldn't be the end of the world to lose it).

I find nebels much more anoying then howies  (lucky crits on buildings FTW), which get raped by anything, and only first shot can do something if you play against good players.

long range artillery should cost something...

nebel, and 105 should cost pp too

pp price should depend on survivability

to loose a heavy armored long range weapon like calliope that does its damage without being shot by itsself should realy hurt

imho 10pp is to low on a calliope...that would mean you can afford every game a new one...(=> would not hurt)

imho 20pp calliope 10pp priest/hummel/105howi 5-6pp nebel/stukka/hotchkissstukka

heavy tanks Tiger/pershing/KT.. should cost around 5pp

sure because heavy tanks are frontline units that are getting hit while they do their damage

a calliope is basically a sherman that does it damage far away from enemy....

if a unit like a calliope is cheap in pp you can sacrifice it easy every game...

there should be a reward for killing it and risking to loose units far behind the frontline....

one "tactic" in using a calliope is to force your opponent to attack and bait them into your killing zone....

Calliopes are bullshit and don't need a price buff. They blanket a huge area with missiles and while they may not outright kill infantry squads very often, they sure as shit sap the fighting capabilities of those squads to where you might as well retreat them. Nebels are kind of the same way except much fewer missiles and it's located on a chasis that's about as fast as a turtle shit faced on evan williams. Mine get decrewed or just plain blown the fuck up in most games where I call them out. That may be my own damn fault for keeping them so close to the front line, but if you want them to hit the shit you want them to hit, then they kind of have to be close.  

The PP prices on the heavies are fine given the massive amouts of damage those units can poor out when used well. This includes the tiger and pershing.

Except axis arty should cost only 1/4th the pp.  Roll Eyes  Besides, I was referring to your suggestion that killing a Cally should result in a reward.  Fail on me for arguing with BigDick and Aloha anyway, stop using the discussion forum for proxy balance arguements.

Well the thing is, it makes you not be able to spam these units like in old (2, 3 calli companies, 2-3 tigers companies etc) unless you wanna spend that pp. Also, tigers and kt's become more valuable not only to kill but to the commander u sing them, ditto callies. Now, if your leave ur callie unprotected, you not only lose the game but 10pp as well.

I don't mind this, leave it alone. I think more things need to have pp on them (nebel, 105, stuka, panther <maybe>,) and the hummel needs to have it lowered.

but you guys also forget, even if its 8pp or 10pp, it used to be like 4 or 5 pp and you'd only get 3 per game, so in other words, it's cheaper now than before.
