This is probably more of a CoH problem than EIRR.

However, is there a way to show the maximum range of a weapon similar to how the max range of a mortar or howitzer is shown? This would make skirmishing a lot easier.

There is, but you'd have an awful lot of orange dots all over your screen all the time.

Most vehicles have longer range than LoS.

Support weapons have longer range than LoS.

The only things that don't are infantry.

Use a spotter.

If you don't know how far the unit can shoot, you can use attack ground and see where the icon changes.

Well you can have it show only when you select it, I dont' think that would have too many range dots.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

It would be like the MG AT gun fire arc display that is only displayed when ya drag the facing with right click and disappear after you deselect or finished the facing movement

the problem is you cant move your screen while setting it up so i can never see where it reaches.

Not everyone can afford a GeFORCE 295 GTX Mars version to run it without lag, you know?

LOL noob. CoH is not that demanding. I’m running a 8800GTS @ 1920x1200, 4xAA, 16xAF.  Everything on max in DX9 and it runs butter smooth. You should be able to get something better/similar for around 100$.

Note: I have 1GB of video RAM and the textures from the improved zoom out mod might need more than 512MB on some maps. I have not tested this. Using the standard zoom will not require any extra video RAM. .

Too bad video RAM means basically nothing these days.
Call me a noob when you stress the video memory on a card? Lol...

Good luck finding a 8800 GTS for 100 dollars in litho - here a 8600 GT costs roughly 150, for instance - shit ain't as cheap outside of the US, and it only gets more and more expensive the further east you go.

The whole "Mars" edition post was sarcastic in the sence that you need an actually good rig to run zoom-mod without lag, and seeing as you didn't get it, I find your technical savvy quite under-par to insult me at not knowing my technical shit. It is without a doubt clear even to a retard that you DON'T need the most powerful video card on the market, of which there are only 1000 units made, to run zoom mod.

If you have enough RAM extra doesn’t mean shit. It might however mean something when the only difference in the IMPROVED zoom mod is the amount of textures. If you really want something that uses lots of video RAM the try and google the texture MOD for Oblivion (shitty game).

Well you knowledge is clearly lacking. CoH is not a demanding game.

The improved version loads high quality textures to a longer distance. I can remember the original link so I uploaded it again:
